Whut?.... Just chop a fresh garden tomato up and toss it in the grits. We have so many tomatos we eat them every meal these days.
I gotta make a batch of my BLT soup with andouille, shrimp and cheese now.

I'm with Tibs on grits. I was born and raised in the south, and hate them. I've tried putting everything imaginable on them to make them palatable, but I just hate them.

I like grits but will only eat them if they're cooked right. They have to have no grit as I like them soft, not gritty. And they have to have something on them...sausage gravy, red eye gravy, cheese, shrimp etc...I won't eat them plain or with just butter.
