Howdy CLAN hope you had great holidays!!!

I like my iSticks and sticking to them!

The vaporesso Ceramic cCell Coil is a true ceramic coil which provides some amazing benefits compared to regular coils, They will work as a replacement for several Aspire BVD models and the Melo

"The vaporesso Ceramic cCell Coils could very well be a vaping game changer"

I have 3 Mini Nautilus's and a 20,30, and a 40 TC watt iSticks

I use TC coils in my 40W and it is my favorite!

I am going to give Vaporesso Ceramic cCell Coils a shot in my 40w TC soon

Busardo does a long in-depth excellent review of Vaporesso battery, atty, and most important twords the end the Vaporesso Ceramic cCell Coil

The MSDS Report only disclosed the individual elements in the ceramic. It used to show the percentages of each, but that part was redacted out the last time I looked. However, none of this addresses anything about the ceramic while in use, or after it has been used for any period of time. And the exact type of ceramic has not been stated, that I have seen. We are left to assume that it is an Aluminum Oxide.

The type of testing being done is what matters most. A crush test won't tell us anything about the ceramic under normal vaping conditions. I've seen it said that the cCells are also being studied for what is actually in the vapor. That would be the best approach, IMO.

The case has been made (at least here in threads on ECF) that the expanding and contracting of the wire (through heating and cooling) has a potential to degrade the ceramic around it, and that this could release particles into the vapor. But that testing has not been done so far on this particular ceramic coil. Said degradation may not be able to occur in the normal and proper use of a TC wire, though Dry Burning a Kanthal wire could. But it is stated in the manual that Dry Burning should not be done. And Dry Burning is not a normal vaping condition. It's a Cleaning situation, which is a procedure that is warned against doing in the manual. Studying what is actually in the vapor would either verify that something harmful is in it (and should state under what conditions to be perfectly clear and transparent), to what degree it is found, and state the level of danger (under various conditions if applicable), or it will put the whole thing to rest.

The grain size of the ceramic powder used to create the finished ceramic product. That same powder is what makes this ceramic more dense and hard (and less brittle) than the Clay ceramic, and may therefore make it harder to degrade via the coil's changes in temperature. I think that the only valid thing to be studied is what's in the vapor, not counting the elements of the juice... only what might come from the ceramic itself. But that's just my take on it.
.

more info in that thread including reference to the independent vendor test a few posts back and vaporesso's response through phil - anyhow, it's always best to have all the info so when you choose the ccell coils it is an informed decision. i'm on the fence

I am erring on the side of caution and waiting for some kind of conclusive test results. I am hoping that this is either a misrepresentation of an Industrial application, improper testing by using out-of-range figures for things like Temperature or stating data from crushing the ceramic (things that don't happen under normal use), and/or some kind of agenda, so that all of it can be put to rest by proper scientific testing to address every area of concern.

I wish Vaporesso Good Luck!

Got my Istick 60w TC in!
From VapeNW - WA to NC in 3 days.

Early impresssions from a 'user' point of view:
Sleek, sexy black. Love the look and no chrome in sight!

It is a tad larger than my 30w's.
1/2" taller x 1/4" wider x 1/4" deeper.
The height difference 'seems' larger.
Nice rounded edges. Fits great in my hand.
The 30w, I would often put my pinky under the unit as they are a tad smaller than my hand.
The 60w is like perfectly 4-fingers tall.

Weight:
It is a good bit heavier than the 90 grams of the 30w.
The unit is 110g and then the battery is another 90g = 200g total.
So about 2x the weight.
But not really 'heavy'.
And it is better balanced with the 510 connector in the center.
The 30w always wants to tip over - ha!

The size and weight were my biggest concerns with the 60w as I often put it in my shirt pocket.
(quick draw from there - ha again!)
Lucky for me - I still exlusively use the Erlk <- small and light weight<-,
so I find the 60w about right at the top limit of what I would find perfect.

The fire button is very smooth, and quite - not a rattle to be heard!
Still not used to which side the button is on when I pick it up without looking.
But left hand - eleaf logo facing me for finger fire.
Right hand - back panel facing.
The panel is very easy to remove yet very secure, again - no rattle.
An excellent design!

The screen is nice and bright.
The stealth vape feature is cool I guess, I just cover the screen when desired.
But I guess I'll use the feature at some point.
The ohms are now displayed to 2 decimal points: 1.55 etc. Nice - and needed for TC vaping.

The temp control menu button works great with just a 2 second press to switch modes.
Takes a bit of getting used to as I push it instead of the down wattage button often still - ha!!

Haven't had it long enough to tell how the 81650 battery will compare to the 30w - but I'm sure it will last longer.
Especially with my 1.6 ohm coils at 8.5 watts!

Plan on trying tc at some point - got some nickel coil.
I do have concerns on the safety of vaping nickel though. But that's for another thread...
But the main reason for getting the 60w was the replacable battery for the possible doom-gloom coming.

For me, the istick 60w is a home run.
A continued improvement on their products.
Glad I waited for this model to upgrade my 30w's, and I suppose I'll be getting a 2nd one in the near future.

Sweet!

Looked that mod up, it is a sexy beast!
Thank you for the review, going to look into this one. Like you, I have no interest in TC at this point, but looking for mods
that take batteries (as much as I hate that idea)

Yeah... Not itty bitty at all--which is why I didn't get one.
Yea.... but I need a replaceable battery - doh!
And while I like it, and will be getting another one, I will also be getting 1 or 2 more 30w as well.
The size/weight/function/battery life are perfect for me, while the 60w is just close.
You are such a smart - and picky - birdie! :p

What is an "Erlk"? I'm way out of the loop!

Apparently, not that smart. That Erlk beat me... It either leaks catastrophically as soon as I fill it or two hours later. Or it starts oozing eliquid after a second refill. I hate that thing.

let's not forget - some prefer the baby erls ;)

Not me. My two minis sit in my "not a good idea" box...

On my next trip to the left coast, I'll build your Erlks for you. It's the easiest build I own and still my favorite RTA.

ETA: Looks like I'll be in O.C. for ten days in early February...
