I haven't had a chance to try out the TC yet, need to buy some different coils. As for the vape being different each time, I haven't really noticed that. For the last two years I have been using a mech with a Evolv Kick 2 and the DC output is definitely smoother, but not that big a deal. The button hasn't been an issues for me either. All and all, for 34 bucks, with tank included, I'm pretty impressed. Same goes for my wife's joyetech VTC mini, which is pretty much the same device. I think they both offer a lot for the money.

Indeed they are a great value, I own 4 of them. But the new DNA75 chip is a step up in performance. Nothing quite as small as a Pico, but the SMY SDNA75, is the same size as a VTC Mini, and can be found for about $60-65. The new HCigar VT75 Nano is also very small, but there are some issues with the battery cover, search on ECF and you will find threads for both of those devices if you are interested in trying a DNA VAPE!

Yeah, I saw those SMY SDNA75s for 50 bucks, the same cost as the DNA chip if you were to buy a single one. I'm not crazy about the looks, but still very tempting. I like the look of the HCigar better, but like you said, there's some issues with the battery cover. I'd say I would wait and see what else comes out, but as of the 8th I won't be able to say that anymore. :(

FWIW: Looks being subjective. I own more mods then I ever wanted or planned to, but thanks to the GREEDY FDA, I have too many. That said, out of all of them, the SDNA75, fits and feels better then all my other mods in my hand. Feel can be subjective too. If you can buy them for $50, it would be foolish not to own one, just for the DNA75 chipset.

I've been vaping TP for over 2 yrs now. I was using KF5s with Ni200, 316ss and 430ss builds. The Ni200 build seemed ok but 316ss jumped around about .08Ω. 430ss was just a bit better. These builds worked fine on my DNA200 mods but I tried other stable builds and got the same results. Locking the resistance worked but then I was getting a weak hit every once in a while.

I guess I would try to figure it out but I have 3 DNA75, 5 DNA200 and 4 DNA40 mods and the 2 Picos were just a curiosity I had to scratch. I'll probably give one to my sister and keep the other one.

Yeah, I have to admit. While IMO I'm not a Vape snob, every time I go back to my DNA200, and now DNA75, I can notice the difference. I collect small mods, and use a few especially when pocket carrying, like the tiny Target Mini, but as soon as I hit a DNA mod, I can TASTE the difference. Somehow the smooth delivery of the electrical signal can and does make a difference. I used to think folks were crazy when the extolled the virtues of the DNA boards, but I've experienced it myself.

In the not too distant past, only those that could afford $200 DNA200 mods, could try them. That's no longer the case, though as we know, the FDA window is rapidly closing.

You have the SMY and the pico? If so is there any chance you (or anyone else?) could post a side by side pic?

Have you tried with a different battery?
Not yet, but I'll definitely try with another battery as soon as I get one (this is my first 18650 mod). I think it's not always a temperature problem : sometimes when the device hasn't been used for a while i get the "device too hot" message at my first click. Second click less than 1 sec later, i can chain vape for 5 minutes in a row.

Sadly return is impossible in my country. Orderer the mod through fasttech and the package miraculously went through customs at the same time as they started to intercept vaping related packages.

Thanks @Mactavish. Don't really want to spend more money right now but am being tempted by the sale on that sdna75 since mods are the one thing I feel I could use more of.

I better sleep on it since I have had a bourbon (and will be having more).

I can't speak of your finances, but a real DNA mod at these prices is SMART MONEY. The future does not bode well for those that wait too long. Good luck!
