Mine does the wattage drop too, so I guess it's a known problem, if you want to call it a problem.

I vape mine at 7 watts and it drops to 6.9 watts sometimes.

P.S. I have a friend that works in cyber security and he said never hook ur vape up to a computer because these China made products have spyware in them.

At the time it didn't matter to me because the only devices that could update firmware were the expensive ones, but this one you can. I'll think about it, but I doubt it'll make much of a difference, especially since I don't ever plan on using the TC mode.

I don't "get" the side fill thing. It seems to over complicate it. What's wrong with removing the top and filling?

I only have removable and pinned "TFV4" style (Bachelor) so this is speculative...

The "side fill" eliminates a removable part which also can get a tad messy as you set it aside while filling the tank. And the long term concern with the pinned top caps is durability. Some have had that hinge pin come loose or pop out entirely.

My concern with the side fill (I'll try one someday, they look efficient) would be how, and how well, they make a seal; and if it's gasketed... how durable is what I presume is the non-replaceable gasket.

Hello all. I need a little coaching... I just got my Pico today (with the Melo 3) and I have no idea what I'm doing with the whole setup. Should I be on VW or TC or something else? I've never used a TC device before and never really used a sub-ohm tank either. I'm a bit over my head here, and appreciate any advice you have for me.

Read the instruction manual for your device and the Melo 3 Tank did not come with coils made for TC, so set it for wattage. You cannot use TC unless you purchase coils specifically for TC. Prime your coils by dripping 3 or 4 drops of juice in the center of the coil. Fill the tank and then without firing take a couple of draws from the tank to suck some juice into the coil. The .3 coil should start good around 30 watts and the .5 start around 20 watts you can up the wattage a little at a time unti you get the vape you like(Power mode only) Its a nice little set up and not hard to use. Try power mode for a while and study up on TC before you try that. I don't like TC myself.

I read the manual of course, but was still a little confused and couldn't figure out if the coils that came with the Melo were stainless or nickle or whatever. The whole TC thing throwing me off, but I get how to use it in plain old VW mode.

Thanks a ton, pretty much exactly what I wanted to know.

Glad to help. I started my .3 ohm coil at 30 and now I have it set at 50 watts and love it. Always start your coils the lowest they will fire and then raise the wattage up until you find your sweet spot. Enjoy it's a great little device with decent battery life. I find the tank a little small, but I always carry a small bottle of extra juice with me anyway.

I recently picked up an iJust2 tank to use with my Pico, mostly because it's got 5.5ml juice capacity for ~$12. :D But it works pretty damn well too, especially with a Vaporesso ccell or Triton clapton in it.

This new ELEAF LYCHE tank might be worth trying. Designed like the Cubis, but the RBA head looks good, two posts!

TANK:
LYCHE Atomizer

RBA: LYCHE RBA Head - iSmoka/Eleaf electronic cigarette

I'm digging this. Barely larger than the Melo III or Cleito, but holds 4ml. I've been wanting to try this notch coil too so I'll pick this up when available. I'm actually glad they did a side fill with this design. I don't like a top fill on designs like this and the Cubis. It's too messy pulling the whole chimney and coil out of the Cubis and I hate straining my eyes looking for a near invisible fill line - I just want to fill it.

I got my Pico about two weeks ago and it's my new favorite thing ever. I am so, so impressed with it. I can't believe how well it works throughout the modes, and the battery life/efficiency is much improved over the 60W. I was using a 2500mah in the 60W and barely getting a few hours from it. 2100mah VTC4 in the Pico lasts most of the day.

Those of you who got the kit: How loose is the AFC on your Melo 3? Mine is crazy, crazy loose. Any way to tighten it? It's not so loose that it's changing up on me while vaping, but almost. Super easy to knock out of place. Otherwise I love the tank, too. It's a great set.

Mine isn't loose at all. It doesn't move unless I move it, but when I want to move it, it's easy to do. I'm not sure how it would tighten though, sorry.

This sucks. I wait a month for my Pico to finally ship from fasttech. It hits New York and I get "inbound into customs". Anyone ever have this happen to them? Did anyone have a bad outcome?

All packages from the outside the US have to go through customs before they get to you. That is true whether it is from fasttech or not. The longest I've had a package at customs is a week, though most are shorter. Though in theory it could be longer, I wouldn't worry about it just yet. I have ordered vape gear from fasttech before and I know it is the worst waiting for it get to you since it takes so long. I'm sorry you're still having to wait but it going to customs shouldn't be a problem at all.

That's pretty much what I thought. I mean, it doesn't really move unless I want it to but this isn't my first time at the rodeo and I'm pretty certain it shouldn't be so loose. It does get knocked around easily, the AFC itself I mean. Unfortunately I received a Griffin in the same order that had a messed up deck that needed replacing, so I may have waited too long to contact the vendor about the AFC problem. The good news is it's usable one way or the other, but maybe I'll luck out and they'll replace it for me.

Hey guys, I love my Pico, but what is so "stealth" about clinching something in your fist and sticking it to your mouth

It is all relative. This is unquestionably a stealthier mod than most that take removable 18650s. It is significantly smaller than its basic predecessor, the iStick 60WTC, and even with a (short) RDA attached, is about the same height as the original iStick and iStick 30W. That is a TINY mod for 75W of power. Way back in the day, if you wanted anything more than an eGo, you were looking at 2-3x the size of this little mod and an absolute fraction of the power. It isn't even as tall as the 18650 battery it houses.

Constantly lifting a device to your mouth and blowing large clouds of vapor will never be stealthy. However, as far as vaping goes, a 75W mod that you can fit in the palm of your hand and makes 30W devices in the same line look monstrously big is about as stealthy as you can get without reverting back to eGos and cig-a-likes and/or holding in the vapor until you can barely exhale a wisp.
