FYI on the Pico cases
If it is important to you, there are 2 versions of the silicone cases. The regular one has the bottom side completely closed. The "B" version has an opening around the battery vent on the bottom. If you want the open bottom, be sure you order the "B" style.

The B version looks like a better choice!

I had a Raven's Moon on the Pico last night and the tank decided it was time to empty out the air holes. The juice leaked down between the sleeve and the Pico. Then pooled at the bottom of the sleeve with no place to go but inside the Pico. I have the regular version of the sleeve and might just cut a hole in the bottom.

I need to take the bottom off my Pico now and clean out the juice...

I did the same thing to mine before learning the physics of the Melo tank. It took several days for that 2ml of juice to finally get out of there. I had left mine overnight, so it had lots of time to drain into the Pico.

My silicone case for my pico was good for awhile, but went a bit soft, and now sort of slides off too easily. It's the A version I believe from SweetVapes. Maybe it's the summer heat.

It's really strange how some of my sil cases for other devices, like the istick 30 are skin tight and have lasted for practically years now, but others never really seem to do the job. Even my istick 40 cases aren't nearly as good. I think it has something to do with how wide the device is, or shape or something.

Anyway, I'm actually ordering some carbon fiber wraps from jwraps, since I think it'll be a better pairing for the pico. In truth, I really wish I would have just waited a week until the all black was announced which sounds to have more grip. Bah!

I know how you feel. I got the silver not expecting the brushed stainless to come out. Given my mod hoarding for the impending vapocalypse, I ordered a SS from FT anyway on sale and got the Black Rain textured vinyl inbound from jwraps. I had ordered a wrap from another company and was seriously disappointed in the quality, so on to the next.

Too funny...okay, I have to tell you, I just got my textured vinyl in the mail yesterday (I got the mosiac, but almost went with the black rain...great minds) but I actually sort of hate it. It feels like a kid sticker and it gives me the chills when I touch it, hah. Hard to explain, but just way too textured.

Jwraps is being cool, and I'm sending it back for a carbon fiber instead. Just fyi. Maybe it's just me, but I expected something very different. Maybe open the envelope carefully just in case.

My 3rd Pico arrived today! All black, with a black silicone case, paired with a Kayfun nano. Love it!

Hi all. So I'm thinking about getting the PICO. Just a quick question. I do have 2 Efest IMR18650 3.7V LI-MN High drain batteries, 35A 2500mah nipple top. I got these batteries about a year an half ago when I was using the vamo, but they do not have much use on them. Will this battery be ok to use untill I purchase new batteries. What batteries are recomended?

The Pico requires flat top batteries.

Ok, Thank you :)
And if you try to use it with a button top you should receive the error message "device too hot".

Aw, not another wrap I don't like. The other one was supposed to be a leather vinyl, but looked like a toddler played around with some black paint on a piece of Saran Wrap. I just want something understated with a bit of a tactile feel to it. I'm not expecting leather, but there's got to be something reasonable out there. I'm ending up spending more on the wraps than on the mods.

haha, god I know. I got into this wrap game awhile back, and this last time reminded me why I stopped before. I think I might just stick to mods that are good to go as-is going forward.

My intuition is if a battery starts releasing gas a silicone sleeve is not going to slow it down a bit. The best possible venting would be mods with magnetic battery doors. A silicone sleeve around a magnetic door, even if it was tight shouldn't matter. The gas pressure would overcome the resistance of the sleeve long before pressure could build high enough to burst the enclosure.

I've been using my Picos with button tops, and not having an issues or errors whatsoever. In two different Picos and with 3 different types of 18650 button tops. Perhaps because I'm tootle puffing along under 10 watts with a 1.5 coil?

I've not been that lucky. Mine only works with flat tops.

I make my own wraps using 3M DI-NOC material. It is a vinyl type material with sticky on one side. Go to the site and you can select a sample of up to 5 different designs, then on the sample page you can up it to 2 of each. You do have to fill out a form about company information (I just put that I am in real estate, remodeling (not a lie, I am remodeling my mods :) ), give a fake company name, etc. The samples are FREE!! 8x10 sheets of material.

LE-1104 is a nice, black leather type. Has very nice texture without being overwhelming. LE-703 is also a leather look, but a smoother texture. For something like a Pico, I would not bother with the side that has the buttons, just a simple rectangle to wrap around the rest of the mod.

Here is one of my Evic VTC minis, wrapped with LE-1104. Made 3 pieces, one for each side and one for the battery cover.

Oh, the site...minor details...

3M™ DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes LE-1104, 4 ft x 164 ft

I have wood textures, marble, leather, all kinds of fun stuff. I have done this about 4 times over the course of 2 years. Never been contacted by the company. I have received an email "sales rep is out of the office", but no follow up. Ever.

Try it and have fun!

I agree that the sleeve might not contain a battery vent, but it will fill up with liquid if the tank decides to drain itself. If enough leaks into the case it will start going up into the mod through the vent holes.

Very nice! I have several remodeling jobs coming up and those samples will be perfect to show mockups to my tanks to be sure they'll be happy sitting on the new designs. Happy tank, happy vaper.

Happy, comfy mod (oops, kitchen), happy vaper

My simple wraps are my bling. Yea, I wrap some tanks, too. But a secure, comfy little mod is my fun with bling. Heck, also means I can buy the last, unpopular color mod for a deal. I'm gonna wrap it anyway!
