Nice kitty cats!
I have a cool pic of 2 brothers.
This is when they were kittens.

Oh, that cat.

We've had a couple of cat adventures this summer. That cat was replacing the one that disappeared. We ended up putting an honest ad on Craigslist describing the situation and found a home for the pregnant cat. Then we went out and got these two, W.ankel and Widget:

Many great suggestions thus far for the pin "prob" on the 'Stick. I haven't yet experienced that, but in order to preserve the threads a bit, I thought why not use a 510 sealed adapter?

Now, let's top that with a tank, shalst we? ;)

Oh NO! The dreaded gaposis!

Time for a fix..... ;)

(hey, if ya can't beat 'em,,, bling 'em!)

A nautilus (regular) with a hollowed sleeve.

I would suggest locking the liquor cabinet when your not home.
Your istick may be nipping on the brandy

Ordered the full kit from Indy Vaper Shop late Friday night - along with an A6 mini atomizer ($12.95), a delrin drip tip ($3.95) and keyring screwdriver ($1.00 and pretty useless because it's too tiny, lol). Indy shipped from Indianopolis, Indiana on Saturday via priority with $50 worth of insurance - even though I only paid $3.95 for standard first-class postage. It was "delivered" to my PO box at 11:27 AM today (Monday) in Maui, Hawaii. Pretty darn good for USPS, IMO. Kudos to IVS and USPS!

I'll post more on my initial impressions later, but one interesting thing for now. The resistance reading (Ohms) on both my IGO-s and my new A6 go DOWN by 0.1 Ohm when I use the included ego adapter. I would have thought the resistance would go up, if anything. I think I'll just use the ego adapter + a ego thread skirt with my IGO-s rda, as the IGO-s doesn't sit flush with the iStick when mounted directly to the iStick's 510 connector anyway. Not sure whether I'll use it with the A6, as the A6 does sit flush with the iStick when mounted directly to the iStick's 510 connector - which results in a nice, compact form factor. I'll figure that one out when I get around to playing with the A6. Both RDAs look great on the iStick.

At like voltages, the iStick does seem to hit a bit harder than any of my Kanger 650 mAh batteries - both vv and standard - the latter of which are supposed to be "regulated" to 3.7 volts. I have not had, however, any unusual dry hits even running at 3.7 volts on either my IGO-s or the single Mini Protank 2 (2.0 Ohm according to the iStick) that I still keep filled with juice. That might be because I use Japanese cotton similar to Koh Gen Do that wicks very well and because the juice in my MPT2 is probably 70/30 PG/VG or thereabouts. The iStick does hit harder, but I can adjust down to get a hit similar to what I'm used to with the EVOD batteries. (IF I want to, that is...)

I frankly don't know whether the iStick hits stronger than it should or whether the Kanger batts are weaker than they purport to be. I don't think it really matters in the end, as I so far am able to get what I want from the iStick. I'm getting a really good vape from the iStick.

I dunno about it being a "stealth" machine though. The iStick is actually heavier than I anticipated and I already carry around some weight in my pockets when I'm out and about - G'zone weather-resistant phone, iPod Touch, fairly well populated key ring, wallet stuffed with plastic and other stuff I probably don't need to carry around all the time but do anyway. To me a non-vv 650 mah battery with the IGO-s or a Mini Protank 2 is way more "stealth" than an iStick similarly appointed.

The iStick clearly gives me a better vape, though!

(Heh. Got carried away. Maybe I won't post more later...:D)

Hmmm... the iStick weighs exactly 3.2 oz. I don't know how you would get much lighter than that unless it were an Ego?

Ok. Or, a non-vv 650 mah battery with the IGO-s or a Mini Protank 2

I guess that if battery life and VV did not matter but, then you would not need a VV mod with 2200 mah capacity either. No biggie though. Everyone has their individual wants and needs :)

@salemgold:

Yeah I can see where you might be confused about where I'm coming from.

I guess to me the need for "stealth" is limited when I'm out and about. The amount of c**p I carry around might be more significant to me. lol.

Definitely prefer the iStick for at home. We'll see how it goes re: carrying it around. (No purse and I want my shorts to stay up where they're supposed to be.) :D

PS: Keep in mind that I've ONLY used eVod batts up to now, so it's not like I'll miss my mech or Reo or Provari when I'm out and about.

Just got my iStick full kit from IndyVaporShop today, so I thought I would put together a quick pictorial of...

Got mine from E-Bay today (vapeoutlet) ... what a freakin' cool little mod, especially for the price! ($36 shipped) I do believe it's the perfect vessel for my beloved Nautilus Mini (my KFLs feel a bit ... well, huge on the iStick).

Anyway... with the Nautilus Mini, running some Five Pawns Bowden's Mate through it right now at 11.5 watts ... love it! It's TINY!

Any idea how to verify the authenticity? I looked all over their website and couldn't find it. I'm sure it's staring right at me.

I can't find it on the website either. The QR code probably makes it real simple to check, but I don't have a device (smartphone) that can scan it.

Yep, they finally replied to my last message. They told me it has shipped, but if I don't receive tracking info by Wednesday to let them know and they will file a claim with USPS. ??? Sounds fishy to me
You'll receive tracking info, because she will print a label. Mine didn't get to the post office for 2-3 days after that.

Scanned it out of curiosity. It just took me to Eleaf's website. Not sure if the QR code or bar code was read as they are so close together. The program was a QR reader but it reads bar codes too.

Kinda looks like the battery is working too good (Hot) when u first get the iStick for all you low voltage vapers. Then it calms down (doesn't hit as hard) after using it for a while. Is that what's happening - peeps that have had it a while?
Yes. For some of us, myself included, the battery goes through a short break in period and then settles down. I'm getting a beautiful, smooth vape off it, and I'm pretty much exactly a week in.

Toronto, Canada,
Don't know if this has been posted here already but TiaVapes finally got a review up. She's so cute...
Her sample shows the version number when she pressed up/down buttons at the same time. Mine wouldn't do it.

Hers appears to do from 2 Watts to 20 Watts??? Shows it on 5 Watts in the video, but I thought it was 7-20 Watts. Still waiting for mine should have 1 possibly Tuesday or Wednesday.

My bad Colbert Vape Report says right off 7-20 but it does show it doing 2Watts, guess a lot of reviewers are stuck on the 7-20Watts with the Hana clones.

This thread is way too fast & furious to keep up with so I'm just going to leave everyone with the pics, my conclusions, and reiterate that (imo) the iStick most certainly does reduce "power" below battery volts. Enough for YOU? Can't answer that!

I agree with JD4x4. The iStick outputs voltage below that of the native battery charge. It outputs as low as 3V. But it does it in average volts (Vavg). The iStick is incapable of firing below an effective 4.17 Vrms which is equal to a constant 4.17VDC.

My mail-person delivered today as I was climbing into my vehicle for the airport. My pre-ordered iStick finally arrived. Unfortunately, I find myself out of town for a few weeks now without an oscilloscope. But, my handy DMM was packed in my luggage.

I immediately unwrapped the iStick and threw my KFL+ on it for the hour drive to the airport. A displayed 6W fired like 12W. No doubt. When I got to the hotel I tore apart my luggage to set up a little lab on the corner desk. I KNOW my DMM measures PWM in average Volts (Vavg). Sure enough, my meter matched the iStick display at every Voltage level I set, within .05V. Its regulation is actually quite good.

For giggles, I set up both the VTR and VAMO for the same test and found what I expected. For example, @ 3.5V settings: the iStick metered 3.5V, VAMO 1.9V and the VTR 2.2V. This is as I expected. The VAMO & VTR are definitely outputting RMS Voltage (Vrms) and fire different peak Voltages.

I'll do a quick first impression of the iStick tomorrow or the next day. The real takeaway from today is: The iStick is really a 4.2 - 5.5(+?)V device. That doesn't necessarily make it bad, just not what the manufacturer claims it to be.

Goodnight all...
