Yep. He sure glosses over the PWM.
If Phil blesses this thing at 3.0 volts Vrms then I have a defective Provari, MVP2 and a couple of VV3's to send back because they're defective.
You don't. I measured it against two voltmeters, one a serious candidate to just average voltages, another one too, but I was wrong assuming it was capable of RMS mesurements.
And do not forget your RMS-ed taste buds......they do not lie!
The thing is that the iStick is very reliable suppliying volts. Al least on the analogue. Other VW, my DNA30 clon at least, but also others if I watched and understood those videos on Youtube properly, are not so reliable (some drifting away the nominal expected values appears). Remember the Joyetech video (stripped out of the silly bits), in which the measurements were similar to mine....
And I measured over some range....
So the output IS a PWM wave and the voltmeters got the same numerical value as the iStick shows for all its voltage or power range......those voltmeters unable to measure RMS, they get averages instead.....
...that's a 'guilty of all the charges' in my playbook, for me, it confirms the 'PWM-gate'. If another reviewer gets the statistics and resolves that the iStick measures the shown voltages as RMS ones...well, then they received an improved version.
Mine is not, and I'm waiting for an explanation and a possible solution....
