I have some too...I think I ordered 5 from the first batch...they were horrible to fill !
I used 2 of them and gave up

As I recall, when you Worked, they were Fantastic.

But there was Such a Fine Line between Flooding and Dry Hits. A Big PITA. And in Constant need to Fluff This or to Compress That.

When the E2's and then Later when the CE2's came out (the 1st Clearos!), I kinda Retired all my Carts/Atomizers. And Never really ever went back.

Actually you may be on to something there with the Kanger. Using a stock kanger head @ 1.8 and 8 watts get burnt fast. Using an Aspire BDC @ 8 watts is fine. I normally run both @ 8 on my vapor shark, dna 30 clones, Vamos and a couple of SX350 boxes I built. I'll try one of my re-built heads and see if there is a difference. It may be that the Kanger just cannot dissipate the thermal shock of the pulses fast enough. Who knows though, all I ended doing was to not use the Kangers on the istick which fixed it for me. Good luck with finding a solution.

As zoiDman has mentioned a few times in this thread, avoiding "burnt hits" is all in the wicking and airflow. I believe that stock Kanger single-coil heads can not keep up with the iStick. I have not had any problems with my rebuilt Kangers and others here have mostly reported the dual-coils working fine, with perhaps the exception of the 1.5Ω. The Aspire BVCs seem to be a solid match for the iStick as well. RTAs have proven amazing. It appears that any coil(s) that likes some power just to get started rocks on the iStick.

Finally got the two I ordered from vapeoutlet today. They didn't ship until the day after the estimated delivery date, and I had to send three messages to get tracking numbers....Man, I got some thinking to do about feedback for this place.
In the mean time, we have 5 Isticks in the house now. They all fire hotter than any other mod we have here, but I assumed that would be the case before I ordered the first one based on feedback here. My wife and I are extremely happy with them. I just have to run 4.5W-5W rather than the 7-8 I run with all my other mods, and the 1.7ohm cartos I have left are basically useless with the Istick.

I found this true for me also, but I have a boat load of 3Ω cartos, so I'm good.

Strange thing,... but I think I saw someone mention it somewhere. After using the istick for a couple days, the voltage now appears accurate. At first it was hitting about a volt or more hotter with same ohm coil, but now its vaping like Id expect from the same voltage. BUT, it now reads all my stock atomizers as different ohms every time unscrew it then screw it back on. Was 2.2 then 2.5, then 3.0, then 2.9, now 2.8. I dunno whats up with all that.

An easy way (for me) to prime a carto:

Insert a new carto into your tank and fill the tank using whatever method you prefer and then pop the tank into a ziplock, leaving one edge open. Blow into the baggie like you were inflating a balloon and then seal it completely.

Squeeze the baggie repeatedly being careful not to pop the seal. The changes in air pressure will force juice to saturate your carto.

Keep doing it until you either don't see any more bubbles or the polyfill looks wet or a drop or 2 comes out the 510 connector..

Simply remove the tank, top it off and you are ready to go!

You otta' also consider using a refilling tool (when just refilling the tank). It makes refilling the tank easy, keeps joose out of your carto (so as not to flood it) and protects your O-rings.

Here's a demonstration of the "Slap Yo Mama":

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOhhasydESQ

However you can find refilling tools much cheaper at many sites (than the Slap Yo Mama)...for example:

https://www.ibtanked.com/accessories/tool/black-anodized-refilling-drip-tip-detail

Thanks, I will try your tip when I need to change the cartomizer. And I did order this refilling tool.
Cartomizer Tank Filler Adapter - Avid Vaper

Though I'm not sure If I will need it. This carto tank has an inner metal tube that the carto slides into, so I've just used the refill hole rather than moving the carto to refill.

Just to break up this party:). I'm looking at my istick and thinking ; someone ( in china) took a power bank and added a circuit board , I think these will replace the ego's etc and get cheaper by the month , ........not saying its not my mod of choice at the moment:)

that's exactly what they did, it was previously a "battery charger"

Two months from now Isticks will be had everywhere at 30 bucks or less. We have driven up the price with the hype. Vape outlet is now selling preorder for $30.80 and throwing in a charge cable for $1.19.

Someone remembers his economics 101, demand goes up, price goes up

I HATE that damn wiggly bar of soap!! :p

Now I'm wondering if I don't find my iStick slippery because of the way I hold it. I have relatively big hands and I just noticed that when I pick up my iStick, I automatically curl my baby finger inwards so that the bottom of the iStick rests on or around the middle knuckle of my that finger. Didn't realize that I was doing that until now. Heh.

Didn't even think about it myself but I do that as well.

Curious as to whether or not the iSticks that have been, umm "independently" erm.... pre-ordered by many here will be significantly different from those already in users hands.
Wondering if the units we are expecting the end of this month will come from existing stock or will have been manufactured with the experiences and opinions expressed on internet forums taken into account.

I have no reason to believe they will be any different.

Had a great day.. I'm an old lady and have converted four beautiful young gals I bowl with to vaping over the past year (I've vaped for four years). Three of the four moved up to MVPs and have stuck with vaping exclusively. The other just couldn't deal with the size of the MVP but has struggled with using on EGO batteries..anyhow she was the first person (other than myself and my best friend) I thought of when ordering my first Isticks. She was able to stop by today and she just loves it....I'm so happy as I think this will be the ticket for her to finally give up the stinkys:banana: The other three gals will each be getting one once I receive the next batch I'm waiting on.

I have found the Kanger Aerotank with 1.8 coil works better for me around 8w and the Nautilius BVC coils 1.8 around 10-12w depending on the juice. I run my KFLs closer to 8w as well with a 2.0 coil. OK..done rambling for now
Post of the week right here folks. *This* is what it's all about.

All you can do in here is whine and rehash the same stuff over and over, where's that dead horse emoticon when I need it?
Have I told you this thing fires a tad hot on the low end? I think those Joyetech rat basterds are Vavg'ing me.

For those of you that are finding the iStick slippery, what colors do you have?

I have the silver version and I don't find mine slippery at all. Maybe it's the high humidity here?
I have all 4 colors and all are slippery. Would be nice if these were made with the rubberized coating like on Ego batteries.

Great point, that material would be nice. Or, and apologies for the repost....but if Eleaf is watching, I have to do my part. RUBBER COVERS, ala SharkSkin. This is my single cause at this point, since I love it on every other level. But when (not if) I drop it, tears will be spilled.

That's pretty much what I found as well. Single coil Kangers, even the ones I rebuilt around 2.2 ohms, can't keep up. Dual coils are Ok, RTAS work great.

A full size Kayfun looks silly on the istick, but I just wrap my hand around it so I can't see the istick and I no longer think about how it looks.

That erl clone is very tempting. tempted to be rash and order one without waiting for the reviews to come in.

Well, it took me all evening (minus a couple of breaks) to catch up on a days worth of posts in this thread. See y'all tomorrow,
