Thanks Zoidman, I hadn't thought of just unscrewing one or 2 of the screws. I'm taking a trip with it tomorrow and not in "try it" mode, but I just might. I have one of those. That's why I was thinking of a spacer. I'll have to look back at your dental pick pics and decide.;)
Hey, didn't you used to hang out in the modder's forum? Do you you remember which putty was conductive? I was thinking it was either plumbers or JB. Plumbers I think. It's insane to try to search that old stuff, but one of them was.

i still need to get some myself...my baby TECs' head came off
I could 100% fix that, you just need some electrically conductive epoxy

Silver Conductive Epoxy: 10 Mins. Working Time / High Conductivity | MG Chemicals

Don't mourn the loss, fix it better than new! :)

And look at the amount of juice that thing holds! I would have to mix everything I have together and I would still be short a full tank! :D
Yeah... But is it a VV/VW Lava Lamp?

And if it is, is the Voltage Created by VAVG or VRMS?

I appreciate the little-kid-wants-his/her-new-toy-NOW! thing as much as anyone. I'm stuck in the pre-order limbo too. But I have lotsa other gear including 2 Semovars and 2 Provaris's. I won't suffer too much but I WANT MY NEW TOY NOW! But it will get here eventually and all will once more be sorta right with the world.

Since i haven't really used the Evod batts since the iSticks showed up, I am thinking of passing them on. I now have 3 coworkers trying to start vaping now. :)

I am still thinking I want an alternative device. I don't really have the budget for something like a Provari, and don't know enough to get a mech at this point, but would like an affordable tube mod that would not be a step back in performance from the iStick.

Any suggestions?

One of the newer Vamo tube mods. Good performer for the price.

emmsa,

A VAMO v6 in stainless steel is only $30.49 shipped from FastTech. The new v6s are 5-20 watts (Vrms) with a generous 7 amp limit. More bang-for-buck in terms of price/performance than most APVs. You'll need a couple 18350 IMRs and a charger, if you don't have one. In 18650 mode, VAMOs are long, like lightsabers, and in the shorter 18350 mode, 800mAh doesn't last long, but swapping out batteries is a snap and takes only a minute. Keep one battery charged and the other in the VAMO, and you're good to go. You have to be careful not to cross-thread the relatively soft metal of the 510 connector, but that's true of the iStick also, as well as almost any inexpensive APV. Because it's calibrated in Vrms, the VAMO will vape fine with almost anything you put on it. The v6 even works with sub-ohm coils. Hard to beat.

Check out this Sigelei 20W mod and see if it meets your needs. I have one and can recommend it especially at this price. E-Cloud Vapes - Sigelei 20W

Im from the Philippines and I will be paying exta for international shipping.

Will it really be worth it? Its going to be about 50+ total for me to get the istick.

I think totally worth; It's a fantastic device. Also, it's about 50 bucks if you buy it directly from eleaf, so not that bad of a price considering.
