WooHoo, vape Mail.

Finally getting to try my istick. Using the blue right now and really liking it.

I guess this is what someones living room would look like if Ecigs and everything related was to be banned from society tomorrow

LOL, Yep.

Well, when VaporTek had them for $23 when you purchase in bulk (10 or more), I had to enlist some friends.
If you were to try them all, test them for your friends, you wouldn't face a recharge until the middle of November. Then you'll cause a brownout.

No wonder everyone is out of stock.

And I don't have that many friends... :(

(but really, at $23 you made a killing. Good job! :toast: )

the problem with not buying from the main distributors page is that those super low prices drive brick and mortar stores out of business...

The closest B&M to me carries neither the iStick nor the BVC coils. If they did and the price was competitive I would buy from them.

Now that there be some Funny {MODERATED}. What a classic.

BigD - Good seeing ya bro! Knowing all the vaping roads you have gone down as well I have, this is good to hear. I'm waiting on a nautilus mini and some of the BVC's as we speak. Are you using any BVC's and if so, have you figured out how to clean them or rebuild them? I've stuck with rebuilding my D14 Genesis with SS rope and mesh for over a year and thought these might prove to be worthwhile. I just hate the idea of "disposable coils". :D
Yes, my real name is Mr. tightass. :D

What's up old friend? Good to see ya too!

I'm not a fan of cleaning any atty with the wick still in it. These can be dry-burned and rinsed out, but getting rid of that faint burnt coil aroma.

I see no good way to rebuild the smaller BVC heads. The larger Nautilus heads should be no problem. I haven't done one just yet, but I have been running vertical coil builds in Kanger heads for quite some time now, and the BVC heads will build essentially the same. Nice thing about a rebuild is when t's time to clean, I just remove and discard the old wick, dry burn the coil, and rinse it off good. With new Rayon wicking, it's like new again.

Thanks to this new Aspire BVC coil, I love having the option to just drop in a new head that vapes as well as any of my rebuilds. Sometimes I get lazy, and not in a fiddling mood. I kind of run in spurts lol.

You shouldn't dry burn Kanger coils. You'll end up burning the rubber (silicone?) insert.

Nope. I snip off the top ledge of the grommet when I rebuild them. Done it many, many times with no problem at all this way.

Reason this works is with the overhang removed, the grommet only touches resistance wire where the wire is fully pressed against the pin which acts as a heat sink. Of course if you try to burn it, I suppose you could, but short pulses...NADA.

The overhang with my kafyfuns and other 22mm attys doesn't bother me...or I've made my peace with it. What is bothering me is the gap between atty and istick when using longer 510 threads like my magma rda, which i've recoiled to accommodate the higher-than-displayed output. I think the gap is likely to create a fulcrum that will put more stress on the clearly weak threads on the istick. So question, if I can find a oring or washer to fit, filling the gap but still allowing a firing connection, is it safe? I don't believe heat will affect the situation at the bottom of of the magma, but I worry about shorting, etc.

Ps-- using the ego threaded adapter and the various beauty skirts/rings I have in the drawer helps *a little*. would love something to help *a lot* and without defeating the compact nature of the istick.

    Tank Airflow Controller

It has 19 mm in diameter, but it's also available in 22 mm:
    https://www.vapor-freak.de/zubehoer/adapter/510-Air-Control-XL

Even though I do not know of a vendor from USA, apart from Smok's representatives, whichever they are. Anyway, the adaptor, firstly intended to regulate the air flow on cartomizers and clearomizers, gets the job done as 510 thread protector, and integrates nicely with 20 - 23 mm flat botton atomizers and the iStick. You just have to adjust the AFC ring to 'full close', as those atty's usually have their own aeration holes, and if they don't, you just open the aeration, tightening the AFC ring.

I rebuild my Kanger coils and dry burn them regularly. I keep an eye on the grommet and if it looks like it is wearing out (burning, whatever) I simply replace it with a new one. I have both silicon and rubber ones. Cheap enough, surely much cheaper than buying new coils that may or may not work. But that is just what works for me. KISS principle.

They can be had for less $$ if you look around, but yea you'd win the bet..

    QOt1e0k.jpg

I've got one, easy to find on Spanish sellers, so I'll bet it is worldwide available. But I prefer it to hold my 3 Efest "35 A" batteries for my magnetised Hana clone (I put on it magnets instead of screws for the rear cover), and I carry out the iStick in a '100 Pipers' flask pouch. It's a bit bizarre, and some people stare at you when you reach to it....

MyVaporStore has them. They don't show the size, but the picture shows it flush on a Protank - so likely the 19mm version.
