Seems like a lot of people are using the the mini nautilus on their eleaf istick. I am hoping mine shows up on Monday. What confuses me is that I have read differing opinions on which coil to use. I know the BVC has received rave reviews, but I also read that dual coils, or the BDC, would handle the power better and therefore last longer. Any input would be much appreciated.

Well imo, the kanger dual coils are pure garbage. I went through 5 on my regular Nautlilus, and one of them was decent at best for like 2 days. I would most definitely go with the newer bvc heads as they are much better constructed, and put off MUCH better flavor. I have been using the original 1.8 ohm head that came with my mini Nautilus for over 2 weeks now, and she still vapes like she did on day one.

I second the BVC coils. They last forever, taste amazing, and IMO, the mini naught is the perfect topper for this device.

I think most people when they refer to double coils are referring to the double stock coils of kanger tanks, and/or a double coil that they made themselves. The istick seems to have been made for the bvc coils, IMHO. The flavor is great, and the BVC coils handle higher heat really well. They don't burn like the sillica wicks of the kanger tanks do.

I will say, that I am not a fan of the aspire BDC coils, so I would not use them in an istick, especially te nautilus ones. That is just me.

Good luck, I hope you like the istick.

I've been using the good ole glass evod on mine most of the time and it tastes wonderful! :)

Good to hear. I have a glass Evod on the way. I had high hopes the dual coil would work well on the stick. I have a knockoff Protank3 that doesn't make connection. Hate that thing. I'd the dual coil glass Evod works well I thin it'll be my main topper for the stick.

i am finding I don't like large tanks. They are more problematic for me. The glass is unprotected, and top heavy.

Thanks for posting this.

Has anyone tried the Aspire K1 Glassomizer with BVC's ? I ordered 1 hoping they'd be better than the ProTanks. Tks :)
Aspire - Aspire K1 Glassomizer

Also looking at the Beyond Vape Silo Lite Tank Kit. And using the BVC's with them
http://www.cloudchaserz.com/beyond-vape-silo-lite-tank-kit.html

Yes, I have a couple of the K1's. I have four more on the way. Great little topper for the Istick.

Much, much better than the ProTanks with stock heads.

Edit to add: All of the BVC toppers I have work great with the Istick. The Aspire BVC's positive pin has no problem mating with the fixed Istick pin either. The positive connection protrudes past the 510 threads a bit.

I got several of these from VT yesterday. So far, I have only tried one. It actually goes down to 4W and it does not hit near as hard as my original that I got from Eleaf :( Not sure if it is just this one being a fluke but, I much prefer my original that has a warmer hit.

I will report back once try the rest that I got from VT.

Did a search and thought this might help............

Just go to Lowes or Home Depot and go to the faucet accessory section and grab #60 O-ring. Use a small, but sturdy screwdriver to pry up the center pin. Use the same screwdriver to pry up the old O-ring (my old one wasn't even torn). The put new O-ring on and push the pin back in, trying to keep it centered. It's been firing without issues ever since. This is a permanent, yet not completely perfect fix, since you have to find a sweet spot in tightness to get it to fire well.
It helped loads. Job and fix done. Cheers mate!!! [emoji106] [emoji6]

Curious to see what you Find? And at what Ohms / Wattages you see the Biggest Difference?

The 'Burgh, PA.
Mine just came in the mail from evape.us out of Akron, PA. 34.99. So sweet and tiny compared to my MVP2!

When my iStick/Nauty-Mini is standing next to my MVP2/Nauty-original on my desk...I flash-back to when I put my first flat-screen TV on the stand and my old CRT (waiting to be tossed) was sitting on the floor in front of it.

I know the BVC has received rave reviews, but I also read that dual coils, or the BDC, would handle the power better and therefore last longer.

The original Nautilus still comes with 2 BDC's. I'm too cheap to just throw them away...so I use them until they're "done" and replace them with one from my supply of 1.8Ω BVC's.

BDC...sweet spot 8-9 Watts...last 5-7 days

BVC...sweet spot 12-13 Watts...last 2-3 weeks

Just out og interest, has anyone had any problems with kayfuns, lemo or erlkonigin with the istick. Im thinking of buying another istick and one of these attys. Dont want the same issue i have now though!

I've been using my Kayfuns on the Istick almost exclusively in the past week. I had a 1.8 ohm build that I rebuilt to 1.5 and it seems better. I have a 1.6 on the other and it works great. Much better than on my MVP2. I have an Erlkonigin clone on the way from Fasttech ($20 version). If you're buying one, I'd highly recommend an EHPro Kayfun Lite+ (v1 or v2). I saw 1 on eBay for under $30. LIghtning Vapes sells on eBay and has great prices on Kanthal A1 wire. I'd recommend 28g as it's easier to work with than 30g or 32g, especially if you're just starting out.

Could it be that the 2nd one didn't have a good charge?

Thanks for info. I really want the erlkonigin or elprinz. But im wary of buying something with a very technical difficult build. So im kinda leaning towards either a ehpro KFL+, the original or a lemo. Im not too keen on the size of the lemo though! I know....its only 1mm! Lol

I am still using the red one that I sarted with. Using the same Nautilus BVC that I took off my blue original at 5W (reads 2.1 ohms) and it "seems" to be a true 5W. This one will let me set it at 4W and that is super light and "seems" like a true 4W.

The only thing that I have to to test it is one of those 510 screw on volt meters. I will see what it says and report back.

Really, I am not complaining at all. I just like the blue one at 5W much better than the red one at 5W. They should both be the same but, that does not "seem" to be the case. Could be a fluke. I have 3 more from VT and I will test them throughout the day.
