In some ways, I agree, Katyayaya. But in others, new vapers have it made in the shade with devices like the 'Stick or the iTazte V3, toppered with a Naughty and Aspire coils.

Yes Ma'am. I am aware of this and I agree--whatever works to keep folks off cigs is a good thing.

I know you still have a bit of trepidation about those coils, but I truly believe once wetted, whatever that filler material is will stay right where it is and not dislodge. For me, they are THAT good that I will continue to buy and use them. And....... they made vaping a whole lot easier.

Hmmm.... Keep talking... :D

I could NEVER fully comprehend the myriad of all the Kanger gear.

Me neither. I just love my Aerotank, 19 mm diameter, dual coils. It has become my go-to topper. That's all I need to know--for now. Everything else is just, well, variations on a theme...

The pin in my MVP came all the way out. It wasn't connected to anything. So all I did was pull it out, put the o-ring on, then center and put it back in. That is NOT the case with the istick. The istick center pin is connected to some wiring and doesn't come all the way out. That's why I stated you have to use tweezers and work it on slowly. It takes a little bit of work, but it'll eventually come on.

In the comments of the video you posted, one person used the o-ring out of an old ego battery. I think that might keep the atty from sitting too high. Plan to try it tomorrow evening as I have a few of them in the bone box.

I just ordered 2 isticks and 2 aspire mini tanks to go with it. This is my first time going into the mod territory, an upgrade from my Halo Triton. I am no expert on vaping at all but in a VV/VW mod, why have both if they do essentially the same thing? I have done some reading and I don't understand what the need for the 2 modes are. I got a usb mini charger with it but it does not have a wall extension. What type of wall charger would best go with this? a 1A? a 2A?

On a side note, I noticed that the aspire BVC coils have a "ceramic" wick which is suppose to extend the life of the wick. How long have these lasted for you guys? and can you rebuild the coils/wicks?

Fat Daddy Vapes 510 closing and grounding washer??? Do I need one???

Probably not, unless you're planning on putting a 510 Fat Daddy Vapes somewhere.... and then only if you do not use the male M10x1 threads to fix it to your mod ....

...perhaps my choice of words was wrong. It closes up the connection (somehow) and its prime function is to get soldered to the ground wire of the 510 connector, but if you are not using it (and the nut) because your mod walls are metallic and you screw down the 510 on them, then.....

Here it is:

The bvc's are awesome so far, I've gotten 2 to 3 weeks out of them so far.

it seems from what most have said is that the istick is rated for 1a....so using a 2a or higher wall charger wouldn't help any....
as for vv/vw just personal preference....i've never really used watts before the istick, though my devices could, I have noticed that while they are basically the same there are more watt settings than volts....so for every volt there's about a 4 watt range....so you can fine tune a bit more on the watts than the volts.....

With VV when you set the Voltage, the device delivers that voltage to the atty. If you change to a different atty it will deliver the set voltage to the atty and may not suit your taste.

With VW when you set the Wattage the device computes the required voltage to the atty, so you can change atty with a higher or lower resistance and the device will give the correct voltage to the atty. So basically setting the wattage is sort of set and forget.

I've heard of people using O-rings from old ego batteries as well. I believe a couple of days ago someone unsuccessfully tried some type of O-Ring.

Unfortunately, I don't have an egos to take the O-ring from. Although the O-ring from the hardware store is a bit thick, the fact that it is so wide helps make sure that no matter the depth of the tank, that it will always fire.

Hope the fix works out for you. If it works out well enough, maybe I'll try and find some other O-rings and redo mine.

I'm starting to have issues also. Anyone come up with a fix that works? I know I can add an adaptor, but really don't want to...TIA..

The X Lab: Aspire Nautilus Observations:

Pauly Meatballs addressed the issue of wicking material breakdown to my satisfaction in his subsequent 9 August 2014 autopsy of a BVC atomizer he had vaped for two weeks, noting no apparent breakdown in the wicking material.

Based on Pauly’s autopsy video, I consider the matter closed and will continue to use my Aspire BVC atomizers.

It has arrived! I ordered a blue iStick from VapeNW on Saturday and the mail man just dropped it off. I knew this thing was small but until I had it in my hand, I didn't fully realize just how small. Plus the blue is really beautiful! It came out of the box with a full charge so I popped my Protank on there, turned it up to 12 watts, and took a pull. Hits like a champ. I've been using an MVP2 as my daily driver for the last two months so having 20 watts in such a small form factor is incredible. Perfect pocket vape!:2cool:

Discovered last night the pin on the iStick is way shorter than the MVP's. I lifted the pin out fully from the body of the stick til I saw the attached wires and hadn't gotten it above the 510 well. I couldn't find purchase enough to hold the pin stable to get the oring on.

So I have an unusable blue iStick. I was able to get the pin back into place. Going to try heading over to the local B&M, but never having been, I'm not sure if they'll be able/willing to help.

I'm a very sad vaper this morning.

Where is everyone getting their istick? Everywhere I look, they are out of stock.

Ebay has had them for over a month now. I paid $35.99 for mine. The seller has priced them at $34.99 now, and there's another seller pricing them at $30.99.

Mine came with the iStick, box, and ego/510 adapter.

Edit: Looks like the $30.99 listing I saw yesterday is gone. Either they sold out, or ebay pulled it randomly for being a vape ad. They do that all the time to random people.

The cheapest is for $34.44 shipped now. Most people bought it from the seller I got it from (VapeNW), but I don't see their ad now.

Better grab one now, they're selling out really quickly.

Wow, just got mine....cost me 40 bucks all in from evape.us.

This thing is SMALL !!! Shorter than my 650 spinner! I am using a Protank 3 mini, and it kicks ...!

Awesome ! Thanks for all the insight, everyone. Will keep up on this thread for more stories and advice.

(a good 2-year vapeaversary gift to myself)
