Kudos to KTM Rider
For you great work with pics on your istick. Looking at the VT 510 it appears you used the 14 MM one ? I just checked my tool box and my smallest T bit is T-7 bummer looks like a trip to hardware store. I need T-5 or T-4 ?? I also have a drill press but lacking the tap. Looks like I need the 10 mm X .5 ? Where did you find that ? Ebay ? I just ordered another istick in case I need to do a retro fit too . Anyways great work again KTM !!!!

Thanks! Yes, it's a 14mm VT 510 connector. T-5. It feels like a T4.5 but there's no such size. T4 is too small and T5 will just barely fit. Careful not to strip the heads. I have this:
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-8-IN-1-Torx-Screwdriver-Set-74502/100087664

I got the tap (m10 x .5) from eBay but it ships from China. I thought I'd save a few bucks because I didn't think I'd need it for a while since all this was for a Hana clone I didn't even receive yet and I wasn't going to do any of this so soon. The FDV 510 uses m10 x 1 which is easier to source and a bit cheaper. I like the thin base so I went with VT.

The seller is listing Black and Red as still available so I don't think that is the case here.

They need to list SOMETHING to sell.

vape NW has the high listings to avoid e-bay fees. They want the buyer to visit his web site and purchase there. Sticks are under 30 bucks but charging shipping. That's why..........

They pulled their auctions weeks ago. With shipping, it's about what I paid for my Istick ($35.99).

I got a notification today that the iStick bending adapter was in stock at Sweet Vapes.

Although I doubt that it is really in stock, I went ahead and ordered one. $8.99 plus $3 shipping.

If anything, it should lower the profile of my istick slightly vs. the ego/510 adapter. Maybe I'll remove the extra O-ring afterwards since I'll have an adjustable 510 pin.

I'm reluctantly posting this, as I don't want the site to get backlogged and delay my shipment, but I feel it's good info for the eleaf istick community. Especially for those that don't have a working istick like I do and haven't done the O-ring repair.

Eleaf iStick Bending Adapter

Edit: Wow, just placed my order about 30 minutes ago and already got a shipment notice!

Are there any coupon codes for Sweet Vapes? I'm about to order a few bending adapters, would be nice if there were any available discounts.

I did a quick search but didn't find anything. They have codes available very often, but usually for holidays and stuff. There should be one by Thanksgiving, but I didn't want to risk it selling out, plus I wanted it right away. I wouldn't imagine it would be anything higher than 10-15%. That would go towards the price without shipping, so savings would only be 90 cents to $1.35 a piece. Not something I'm too concerned about, especially since I'm only getting 1.

Thanks, I agree and went ahead with the order. Also ordered two five packs of Nautilus BVC Coils from Myfreedomsmokes with the "40%coil" discount code. Thank you to Ryan Lee! :)

Edit -- ten minutes later and BOTH orders have ALREADY SHIPPED.

Unfortunately the shipping notice only means that an address label has been printed for your order. It usually gets "picked" from the warehouse and packed for shipping today. Tomorrow it will get picked up by the shipper, spend one day in the shipper's hub and arrive at your doorstep on the 3rd day. I ordered yesterday so mine should arrive Thursday. :) Disappointing isn't it? It's strange to me that I can get product from California in 2 days when it takes 3 days from almost anyplace else.

Ok I have a new one, (I think)
My wife's eleaf is changing resistance according to the meter on the stick. I plugged it into my MVP and its solid, however when you screw it all the way into the eleaf it will go from 2.0 (the actual resistance) to 0.5 and sometimes to 0.0. If you back the tank off (kanger protank 3) just a bit it will go back to 2.0 then go lower if I keep loosening it. So I have it in the "sweet spot" for now. I don't know if I need to adjust the pin or not.
Any Ideas?

Try nudging the pin up a bit. It's shorting out causing the low ohm reading.

Hello peeps, I basically have all mods and atomizers out there (kinda collecting them I guess). I purchased a couple of isticks because of its size but mostly because of curiosity.

My preferred setup is the Stingray with the various Russians at 1.4ohm anyway I noticed that there's a lot of pro Nautilous Mini + istick combinations that's turning this thread into a istick/Naut mini.

It's about a month now that I've been using it when I go out with the kanger Protanks v1/2 at 1.8/1.9 ohm single coil build and I'm vaping perfectly at 8watts with great taste and the right amount of throat hit, I could higher but it would be a bit too hot for me and I'd waste more e-juice.

To make a long story short a dual coil is not necessary as long as the single coil is setup properly, I'm posting a picture of mine with the Protanks 2 (not that bad looking).

Regards :)

Re: threading problems, I have come to the conclusion that iStick was built for the Nautilus range. I have tried many of my tanks and none seem to be truly compatible due to lack of floating contact, the Nautilus has floating contact is correct in length so not much chance of over tightening and stripping threads.
Been using mine constantly now for four weeks without any problems, I have two used in rotation my other mods all sit idle atm.
My only worry is in regards to battery safety, I can't see any venting outlet and there is not any mention of battery type (internal safety). Other than that I really love this device.

It vents thru the USB opening.

One of the first pics of the battery posted showed 18650 printed on it but the 3 that I've opened up all had a wrapper around it and was much shorter than my shortest 18650 so it leads me to believe it's some sort of Lipo battery.

Too bad they didn't get the istick case too.

I wish they had more pictures of that case. The more I look at it, it looks like the seam on the bottom has a raised portion. I'm wondering if it might not sit level in the case. That would be a big fail.

There is no "perfect" wattage for vaping. It all depends on the device one uses and its wicking ability--long story. Commercial coils can't wick fast enough to keep the coil cool so they are limited to about 8 watts of power (per single coil) to perform best. RBAs are a different animal altogether--with a properly coiled and wicked Kayfun, for example, one can vape at much higher wattages.

Joyetech rep has apparently "mentioned" to a vendor/supplier about a Kayfun adapter / insert for the eGrip....if they come out with that then this will be a popular PV.

For those talking about not wanting to buy more expensive coils, i am one person who has fantastic luck / experience with joytech coils, both dripping atties and the Type A......going on 5-6 weeks on "one" most usually, and I vape high VG.

So, I'm going to assume that their new coil for egrip is going to be pretty well made. Dunno, haven't tried one yet. :)

Has anyone found a fix for the burnt taste that seems to pop up with the istick+naut mini combo? It's weird that it just started this far into it's life. Would greatly appreciate suggestions; it's driving me bonkers. I could have a bad batch of coils, but I dunno. Also, it's happening with both of my sticks, both with different naut tanks.

Also, lowering the wattage from 10 (where it never used to happen before) to about 8 doesn't seem to help that much. It just sort of comes and goes randomly.

I love my Nauty's (BVC 1.8Ω) on my iStick at 10-10.5 Watts!

I found I was refilling the MINI (2 ml) almost constantly. So I got a couple "full sized" Nauty's (5 ml.) and am quite happy with them. Sure...they're bigger...but on the iStick they are not top-heavy.

You may be over-tightening your Mini when refilling it. You only have to tighten it until the silicon gasket just barely "takes hold".

Knowing that I have been having trouble opening it I make a conscious effort not to over tighten. I have a full size Nautilus as well that works fine but my juices really seem to taste better out of the mini. Maybe it is a mental thing but having to wrestle with the mini for 15 minutes to open it has been worth it for the flavor.

Opening mini is a pain. What I found is: buy some of those rubber jar openers. Amazon has them for cheap. But even better- I switched to the metal sleeve cases, and they don't ever get stuck. I like them better now- also I've found that they have a higher draw than the glass. Also the less fragile aspect helps. I've found the penis window shaped sleeve and the new crystal looking one, are both around 7.99 if you shop around.

Same juice? Higher VG juices are thicker and might cause the dry hits you're describing.
