Get him an istick and a nautilus mini find a liquid that he likes with the appropriate nic level and you will have given him the best possible setup to get off the analogs that you possibly can.
Just a quick question, I'm considering picking up one of these for my father in law who's a two pack day coffin nail user. He tried disposables in the past and hated them, and I picked him up some V2's cigalikes two years ago and was meh about them. Are these things pretty noob friendly? He's not much of a tinkerer, so it's gotta be something that works, and works well out of the box. I can already foresee changing atty heads and refilling might be a bit much to him, but I'm willing to shell out the cash in the hopes that it helps him transition off. I've had ego's and vamo's in the past, had a Cloupor 30W for a bit before the 510 connection got screwed up, and I am now a dedicated mech user, so I am at least somewhat familiar with the lower wattage boxes to help him out with it. But I definitely need something reliable for him. I was considering the starter kit from Sun vapors for him and an extra tank. Will any standard usb wall jack work, or should I look for a specific output voltage, and same with the cable?

I wonder if Yihi would be amendable to a co-op buy on the SX130...I'd certainly get in on that.

Just order one of the new ipv mini's it has the sx130 board 30 watts of goodness in a slightly larger istick form factor with a floating 510 pin and a user replaceable 18650 battery.

Hmmmm... That makes the eGrip more attractive. How are you liking it, four2109?

I love it. It's heavier than you would expect. 6 ounces compared to about 3.5 with a tank on the istick.
It's easier to pocket since it flatter and there is no tank sticking off the top of it. Shirt pocket is perfect.
I still use my Erolls for hands free, my isticks are on the table with a tank and an atty for dripping, but they don't go anywhere.
I use light liquid with very little to no flavoring, so the internal tank is perfect for me. It's easy to fill. 3ml, or 3.5.
I top off the battery when it's convenient. I think it's 1600 mah. The battery level is indicated by the flash speed of the LED after release. They are doing that on the new Eroll PCC too.
The only thing I have read is that with the well on top, some larger diameter drip tips don't fit right, but standard ones do. I use a short tip on it.
There is no "stop" between 8 & 20 watts, so you have to be careful with that, but it's pretty easy to get used to.
It's truly all in one and done. I got mine from vapenw, their .com site. Had an issue with initial shipping but they made it right.

Just ordered an I stick today. Have been using itastes for the last year but now they are dying at 125 puffs. Is there anything I should be looking for as faults straight out of the box? I tried reading the entire thread but damn it's so long and the topic is constantly moving.

The istick is really awesome, but it's a bit cheap in some aspects. Super short version that we've learned:

-The threads are iffy. Some people have had issues, and most are just careful. There are some workarounds if you're concerned. Just be gentle when connecting your tank. And you can always get their new 510 adapter that swings down and will protect the threads.

-It does run hot. I put it a couple W lower than I would on an MVP 2. Just go for taste and work your way up. I do get burnt hits once in awhile, but it just started after about 2 months. It's random, but is happening to a few of us. Basically just ignore what it says and find what works best for that tank and liquid.

-You'll probably buy a 2nd one. It's really great to have a backup, even though the battery goes for 2days+

-Nautilus mini is the perfect match for it.

-Sometimes when you push the button, it might not fire. It's not often, maybe once a day or so. It's no biggie, just a quirk to be aware of.

I'll edit as I think of more, but those are the biggest things to be in the know about.

I like kat's idea better ( one of the kat's... Sorry I'm lazy :( )

That afc base that looks like a raised fat daddy vapes connector looks pretty great, and makes it look like a flush jobby

Major I disagree, considering the threading issues. I'm honestly still in favor of a twist or spinner. At least until a revision of these addresses the threading/ positive pin migration issues.

MoN........ one of the Kat's?? There are so many here?? :D

Agreed. I'm still loving the look of the AFC and the protection it provides. Old skool rocks! (sometimes)

And tho I might agree with you somewhat on a Twist or a Spinner, another very good option is the iTaste v3. A very good option in fact.

Happy Loose Clothing Day to all of our 'Stickers.

Katdarling I've never used them; I only recommend things I've personally used. Those square boys are good as well? It's innokin right? They do seem to have quality products.

Happy thanksgiving y'all!
