I've had a bit :p can't keep that marine corps physique for ever ;)
But I broke below 190 for the first time in years. I did a happy dance when the scale said 189, which isn't too bad a weight for 6' tall. I was at 200 lbs when I got out, but fit (had a 5% body fat for a while), then only a few short years later it was 225 of not so fit :p, so this is a big mile marker for me!
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

I'm not tryin to stir the pot - it's HOT enough already! Personally I feel that the Aspire BVC's are ok because they are soaked with juice when they are vaped. I don't see how any particles would be released when the material is wet. It also appears that the material in question is the outer pads not the inner wicking material contacting the coil. I haven't seen any pics of the outer pads being overly degraded when taken apart either. But if it's dry burned, that can't be good. Not so sure about the Atlantis heads tho, as that's hi airflow, hi wattage, vapor ect. They are all over that at ................... Jus my :2c:

For me now being more inactive after someone close I was looking after is now in a care facility ended going from about 25-30lbs. under the recommended weight at 165 now at 220! I'll lose some of that once warmer weather appears again however.

Now as far as any emissions from the BVC coils you have to remember you are seeing eliquid heated up inside and a tiny amount could easily appear once in vapor form while I doubt there is big risk of any high exposure rate. You won't running into much when vaping unless the material used in rebuilding has a problem? Various studies including some recent room air sample studies comparing second vapor to second hand smoke with a larger variety of ecigs has still come out on the positive side.

Another thing that looks favorable is what will be brought up in a soon to come educational seminar where the FDA's director of the Tobacco Control Center is accompanied by a medical researcher at a university who wants the medical community to take notice of the real science!

The educational sessions begin with Dr. Brad Rodu, a Professor of Medicine at the University of Louisville, explaining e-cigarette use from a health perspective and why the health community should be embracing non-combustible nicotine delivery devices and supporting their use.

The full report is seen at: http://www.cspnet.com/category-news/tobacco/articles/fda-director-zeller-speak-2015-nato-show

Am I the only one using a protank on mine? I rebuild the coils and I think the Protank looks fab on the Istick. (whit air flow controller)

When I got my first iStick I was using a protank V1 with 2.5Ω coils with good results. But thanks in part to this thread I wound up with a nautilus mini and now prefer it using a 1.8Ω coil.

No you are not only one I use protank 2's and rebuild all my coils. And yes I have the air valves too. I just ordered a Cloupor Mini from Fast Tech since the Istick pin is poorly designed. I like the fact that the Cloupor mini has an adjustable pin. It has onboard charging and a replaceable battery.

I couldnt resist once i got one in my hands. Ive been wanting a mod with more amps/lower ohm ability but smaller than a MVP. Plus i often use 1.7ohm cartos which dont play nice with some high watt mods. They dont step down enough. My iStick barely goes down enough and my 19mm IBtank looks good on it too.

Yeah, my 2ohm Boges have little room to work at the Istick's lowest range. The 3-0hm ones are great tho. I can turn the stick way down to break them in. The 2 ohm ones I was breaking in on egos...

Maybe you can find some 2.0-2.5 Smoketechs to work. Or Ikenvapes.

Yes I think that will be my next purchase and should of been what I bought before I bought 3 Isticks in a coop (unaware of problems then)

Protank 2 coils can work on the SMOK Tumblers, Trophy, HBC, GBC, xBCs, etc. while the newer T-Series is a diffferent animal there. The 2ohms are in the Tumblers here while you have the options for either the 3.0, 2.4, 2.0, or 1.8ohm replacements with the best deal on coils seen at Big Daddy Vapor - Mod Shop There you can buy upto 40 replacement coils getting the pirce knocked down after so many

Yes I think that will be my next purchase and should of been what I bought before I bought 3 Isticks in a coop (unaware of problems then)

Here I was a little reluctant since the two one bought later after first trying one as a spare in case one crapped or had to be recharged, etc. as mainly an extra but more convenient device not the main vaping instrument everyone else seems to be aiming for. The sellling point was simply 20w in a compact while if the Mini had been out at the same I may have simply gone with those for the Tumblers which are generally run at 7w except for a few at 10w. They're still good for what they are but not the best to be found by any means. Convenience is the key word.

The ZNA 50 is now seen at Fasttech for only $43.55 with the code "XMAS14"! That would be the aluminum stainless version. The DovPo DT-50 fires as low as 0.2ohm with a 4000mah battery in that one for a little more seen at $60.96 DOVPO DT-50 50w Variable Wattage e-Cigarette Mod | Vaping Discounts

The one to replace the VTR however is the ICig V9 5-50W I mentioned before. That was $50 even at Fasttech using the same code when ordered.

The other 18650 powered item would be the H-ANA MODZ Pack DNA 50 Style Box Mod seen for only $46.76 which catches notice but not as elegant appearance wise.

Once again these tend to be better made but are VTR size not iStick size making them not so pocket convenient to run around with.

Goodmorning everyone. I have a quick question. Got my Istick yesterday. However My fire button seems very stiff. At first it seemed clicky. and easy to push, now it seems harder to push, Not liking it :( is this normal? Also I do not see a protective film on the screen, Should there be one? I'm wondering if I got a used one from the place I got it from, Before I email them, I just want to get all the info I can.

    Thanks

Im using SMOKs atm. A local vendor has them for about $1.50 each so i stocked up. Ive switched to mostly 50/50 liquids or slightly thicker liquids so the SMOKs 2 holes work for me now. Elite Vaporworks 510 Tank Replacement Cartomizer - Single Coil - 1.7 Ohm - Dual Hole - Carto Tanks - Legacy Hardware - Hardware

Since cartos are becoming harder to find each year, i wanted to upgrade my mods to more versatile ones. I got the iStick as a "tide me over" until i found something that had all the features i wanted. At $25 it was a steal and a great on the go device for me although it still does not have the amps i want for lower ohm builds. I dont need a 50-100 watt cumulus creating fog machine but its nice to have some room to spare in a semi small size. Running a device at its max setting surely isnt the best idea.

I have three of them and that button issue has never come up for me. The protective film you wouldn't be able to see, scrape a corner with a fingernail to tell if it's there.

Thanks I found the bottom film. (so hard to find..lol) is there a top one on the little square above the button? Removing the film on the bottom seems to loosen up the button a tad.

I'm thinking the same way at the moment, Buster. What has been marginally acceptable in the Nautilus and Aspire BVCs is exacerbated in the Atlantis. At the very least, methinks all Aspire BVCs are perfect candidates for the DNA40's temperature control...

Your link goes to this current page YKruss

It goes to this post for me...

If the actual button is gettting stuck, I've read where one other iStick owner put "two judicious applications of a lil' rubbin' alcohol" on the button so it seeps in and hit the button a bunch of times, carefully, until it unstuck.

It's amazing what kind of info you can get from an 'Old Folks' thread :) :vapor:.....http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ng-front-porch-part-2-a-365.html#post14797897

looks right to me > click on the link for the 'older folks and vaping front porch' ;)

edit - never mind! i get it now :D
but the reason for people being directed differently is their page setting. some get 10 posts per page, others 40. the link to a post will only work properly if people have the same 'posts per page' settings
