G'day all, does anyone know what the nautilus BVC wick is made from? as the flavour is so good.
I be attempting to re-wick with Rayon, but so far the flavour using same juice is far better using nautilus as is apposed to Kayfun using Rayon totally different in fact.
Could it just be down to vertical vs horizontal coil?

What works for you, works for you. But I would bet if you did a true blind test, same tanks and coils at the same true output, and if you didn't get to hold the unit so you didn't know which one was being used, you would pick the MVP as the better vape due to its higher pwm freq.

You might be absolutely right. And I know that the difference is important to some people, and that the perceived inaccuracy of the iStick is bothersome to some. Having used the iStick as my primary vape for a few weeks now, I have to say that it has knocked my MVP into "riding in the glove box as an emergency charger" status simply because the portability factor makes it easier to use. I don't notice a drop off in vape quality, not enough to make me reach for my MVP over the iStick…and I will say that before I had backup iSticks, when I would have to use my MVP while it was charging, even with the MVP dialed up to 11w I found it somehow less satisfying. Could be all in my head. But the iStick has replaced the MVP as the starter device I recommend to new vapers. And other than picking up an eGrip maybe since I'm intrigued by the idea that they now have a rebuildable mini Kayfun style deck attached and want to play with it…I have scrapped my plans to upgrade to a Hana device in the future. The portability factor is the biggie…having gone from just needing a pack of smokes and a Bic to feeling like I was carrying around a brick in my front shirt pocket was starting to make me feel bogged down with "stuff". I don't know if I could go back to a bigger device TBH.

If you browse through the last three pages of this thread there's some discussion on the BVC coils-- starting at post #7658. They work great but a bit of controversy about their composition

I agree. I had an MVP when I ordered an Istick. About 3 weeks after that I ordered a second Istick. Two weeks later I sold my MVP. No regrets whatsoever.

Am I the only one using a protank on mine? I rebuild the coils and I think the Protank looks fab on the Istick. (whit air flow controller)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not really knocking the istick, or I wouldn't have one, it's a nice drive around town device, but almost solely for the form factor in my case. Many of its issues don't affect me since I tend to vape at higher wattage on an aerotank I rebuild myself with bvc. But, I do get a much higher quality vape out of my zna50, so my istick stays in my case as backup most of the time.
I did make a nice little dripper setup for it in my old nimbus that works surprisingly well, a triple strand twisted wire using 32 gauge, set up as a sleeper coil (a dual coil where both coils are on one line)

If and when it dies I plan on putting a dna30 in it, then it will be the perfect all day vape device for me

The Lemo Drop will be my next purchase. I have a leather wrap for the stick coming so hopefully that will help buffer the overhang somewhat.

Those are some pretty serious looking coils there!

The coil dictates the wattage. I get a nice smooth vape at 25 watts on my Clapton coil, my bvc in my aerotank does best around 16 watts, but I don't like most stock coils above 10-11 watts.

I was using the B&M worker's dripper on the Hana, she said it was .4 ohms, and the box was set at 25w. I suck at math, so no idea what that translates too…except too much hot vapor for my candy a$%.

I agree. I had an MVP when I ordered an Istick. About 3 weeks after that I ordered a second Istick. Two weeks later I sold my MVP. No regrets whatsoever.

Since I got almost all of the new mods I ordered in less one E-LVT 2.0 30W status unknown ordered at FT on the 7th showing shipped I hardly even use the 6-11w mod since even the eGo-V V3s and V4s are 3-15w and will run a Nautilus well. When not using either of the two iSticks I'll tend to have one V3, the Vamo Fire, and ZNA 50 running at the pc desk while the MVP sits lonely in the other stand when I pull out the Smok BEC Pro and maybe one of the iTaste VV v3.0s that also a known mistake for me once I came across the eGo-V series right at the end of December last year. I tend to keep a Tumbler on the older stuff while one Nautilus sits on the VTR at the moment.

Absolutely false. Mean and rms are not "just units of measurement" they are the equation by which your device is regulated. The measurement would be in the output, which we all know are drastically off in our isticks. More accurate regulation would mean less waist and longer battery life. This is simple electrical theory, and of you don't think so, go watch pbusario's review video

I bought an iStick and overall im pretty happy but some Jedi mind tricks got the best of me. I brought home a IPV Mini today and im retiring my MVPs to backup duty.

Well another item of interest showed up in a review this week I could no longer resist! And it wasn't the latest 20w MVP now seen either for a 50w compact mod with mutiple color leds plus a carrying carrying case and charging your 18650s in it cord included for an even $50 for the 50w at Fasttech again! ICig V9 5-50W Variable Wattage VW APV Box Mod

That was because other then Alibaba that was about the only place on the web with this one besides some other Chinese wholesale site. This was much easier to decide on that a look at several other 30w and 50w mods and not wanting another Vamo type! The two Smok ACE aluminum body APVs already retired may have company soon with the MVP. The VTR will still fire the Atlantis barely at it's 15w max but will still work out for a Nautilus on top there while one 30w mod, two 50w mods, and one Vamo like 50w APV will run with the four Atlantis tanks and possibly an Horizon Scion tank once those are out.

I couldnt resist once i got one in my hands. Ive been wanting a mod with more amps/lower ohm ability but smaller than a MVP. Plus i often use 1.7ohm cartos which dont play nice with some high watt mods. They dont step down enough. My iStick barely goes down enough and my 19mm IBtank looks good on it too.
