Everything arrived in perfect shape from evape.us. istick 30w, GS Air tank, free sample. [Strawberry - but it has nic, so I can't use it. Will pass it on.]

- Kudos to evape.us for super prompt service and great prices.

- This is my first mod - and it's amazing to me. What a power and temp difference from the EVODs. Will never look back.

- GS Air - air flow is perfection for me. Vape quality and temp are perfection. Taste is rich, but I'm tasting something - that I guess tastes like *new tank*. Not great yet. I'm hoping it's because the wicks are still soaking. Hopefully that will improve.

To be continued.

My Peakomizer had a stainless taste to it for 2 or 3 tankfuls before it went away and I washed it out of the packaging. I read somewhere that some people brush their new stainless attys with toothpaste first to avoid the metal taste in the vape.

Ok, I'm a complete idiot. I see now that I had this GS Air 1.5 ohm dual coil tank running anywhere from 6 to 8 volts as I was playing around.
I had it all wrong, and I see now my range should have been more like 3 to 3.5 volts.
I guess I fried the coil/head? And I don't have spares yet.

Any way for me to evaluate if I compromised the head, or should I definitely stop using the tank now until I get another head/coil?

You nailed that atty with 30W at around 6.7V. It may be fine to 12 or 13W. But I can't imagine it's much use to you now.

When I go to choose a color option nothing shows in the drop down--strange--says in stock still

As 8:26pm, Black, Red & Silver still show in the drop-down menu for me. Try clicking on the appropriate "color" box above the drop down and see if that doesn't work for you. If not try restarting your browser.

I am running the the same coil 1.5 ohm at 4V (10Ws) with no problems. It even says on the side of the coil that it is rated for 8-20W's. I just changed coils yesterday after using the 1st coil for about a month. I did start it out a little lower and dropped a little juice right into the coil when I started this new coil. It is doing fine so far. I expect to get another month out of this one. (I do vape multiple devices every day, so this coil isn''t used exclusively, all day long)..

How do I tell? When I dial it down to 3.5v, it doesn't taste fried anymore. But obviously, I don't want to be using it if it is not healthy.

Advice?

If it still works and tastes fine to you, I'd continue using it and order some new heads soon. You experienced your first really nasty burnt hit. It goes with the territory.

I'm having issues again. I just got my 2nd nautilus mini tank and noticed a tiny design difference between the new one and the first one. Turns out the first one is a knock-off. It also had the coil replaced by the seller to a DC 2.5.

I've had zero issues with the 'knock-off' regarding flooding and gurgling. Great vape in general. The new tank which is authentic with a 1.8 BVC is giving me grief. I can't get it to stop flooding and gurgling. I've taken it apart and cleaned it many times. I tried every suggestions in this forum. putting the bottom back on with air holes shut, open, dry hits, blowing out with the battery on and off....you name it...

Any advice?

Here we go gang. Got the iStick 30W in the mail today.

This is simply an unboxing. I'll give you my first impressions tomorrow. (Hint: Thus far, I'm liking it very much.)

Packaging from evape.us received in good condition.

Thanks. Seeing it is from PA means I can get it in a couple of days if they ship it quickly. Some of you guys are raising my hopes of getting an accurately firing iStick with the correct voltage. I'm going to go ahead and order one tonight. I have seen enough. The iStick is the perfect mod IMO, and people I didn't even know vaped have been showing them off on my FB feed lately. This thing is going viral.

Will I be disappointed if it doesn't fire RMS? Yes, but at this point I can't imagine myself using any other mod. The MVP is going to be way too big, and I feel like my ego twist isn't giving my 2nd kayfun it's justice.

Edit Again: I must have been looking at the original istick or something. But I e-mailed evape. My god the guy got back to me in like 10 mins. Talk about customer service! He pointed out the black was still in stock and I was probably looking at the wrong one.

I took the time to ask him how quickly he would ship. He says they usually ship same day if you order by 2 PM. Went ahead and placed my order. If mail travels as quickly as it usually does, I should have my istick on Saturday. I'll be the official judge of whether the voltage is off or not. It's fairly obvious IMO, and I'm not sure how I'm getting conflicting info. The guy on the youtube video thinks it fires a little hot but he thinks "that makes it even better."

Edit: Wow, they sold out of the black iStick since last night when I forwarded my friend the link! Darnit. I can't go with a different color. My iStick 20w is silver, and I don't want to go with the blue or pink.

Maybe you want to go with the silver anyway. The 20w and 30w are easily distinguishable because of the lip on the 30w. If you wait too long, you might be waiting for the next production run.

I have the silver - looks great.

Rachel, bear with me. I'm not sure everything that you tried.

First, take off the base of the Naughty Mini and remove the coil/head. Rinse of the base really well in running water paying special attention to the threaded areas. Rinse off the threads of the coil/head as well. Insert the head into the base. Screw it down, being careful to grab the threads correctly. You want it as tight as you can get it with your thumb and forefinger only. (ie. Dont crank on it with a pair of pliers.) This usually solves leaks/severe gurgling.

Examine the tank section, making sure that it's all screwed together finger tight. Reassemble the base and tank section finger tight.

This should solve your problems. If it doesn't, try a new coil/head.

Good luck!

When cleaning, I made sure to tighten the coils and bottom to the tank.. I'm not sure what u mean by 'base'. The bottom housing I have does not have any threading. It seals itself to the tank via a clear rubber ring.

Right, but what about the threading around the center pin? ;)

There's nothing in the info regarding the trheading just the problem that was being reported with the center pin getting pushed in. You will also notice the price went way down to see them still sell. That's good if you are looking to grab a spare 20w or a few more if not planning to go with either the 30w now out or waiting for the 50w at the end of the month. Simply using the 510/eGo adapter it comes with or going for the Bending Adapter will still solve that problem fast however.

I'm really surprised--in a good way that the 30w is pretty much going for the same price as the 20w. They definitely could have charged more given the apparent fixes to the 20w's issues and the extra 10 watts. Very smart on Eleaf's part--assuming the problems are ironed out they've made a pretty strong statement to their customers and...their competition. If someone told me a year ago that something this size, with these specs could be had for $35-$40 I'd say they were nuts. Things are getting very interesting.

If you haven't done so yet check out http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/variable-voltage-apv-discussion/640761-little-itty-bitty-mods-under-100-a.html to see what's new. Maybe suggest some new columns for the spreadsheet :D
