It's an 18650 inside? Well there's some good news!! But what exactly is the chip doing with its power? Inquiring minds want to know[emoji6]

It is an 18650. That I have Known for a Few Days.

Now What Type of 18650? That is Something that I Don't Know. And Don't want to Speculate on.

OK, I found my old hand held scope (kinda junky for what I paid for it) and played around a bit today. Had fun. If I can find my cable & PC software maybe I can post better pics & specs.

You'll have to count the divisions for voltage because on the device the volt readout is not dampened and jumps around. The Vamo's were two different v2's, one set to Vavg and the other to Vrms. All were using the same rba & coil.

For your amusement and pleasure:

Very Cool.

Now if I only knew how to Read these Images.

How do things look at Low Wattage? And what is your Take on things?

Looks like Eleaf bought a truckload of old VAMO chips. 8-o Hope they got a good price.

The amplitude looks similar at 4.0 watts (the lowest it will go with the 2.1ohm coil) but I really need to find my PC software to get better plots, more accurate measurements, and to voltage calcs. If I can't find it I guess I might pop for it again. It's a TPI 440 and the s/w is proprietary.:(

I love the iStick. With either the BDC or (better) the BVC coils at around 6 watts (7 or 8 'other' watts :D). That's one reason I dug out the scope, the disparity was bugging me even though I also have no issues using it with a 1.8 ohm coil at 5 watts. The other reason is I hate mysteries.

To my Untrained eye. The Wave Form of these Two look Similar. And have the same Hertz also.

Yeah, but in my subjective taste tests on all of these the iStick hit most like the Vavg Vamo for the same watt settings. All the others (to me anyway) including the VTR hit lighter at 5.0 watts. Another 'mystery' to solve. :D

The duration is a bit longer on the iStick (by appearance) imo, but not as long as the Vavg Vamo. I'm sure the answer will be in accurate duration/amplitude calcs.

So it only rattles at the lower wattage levels then?

Incidentally, I be had to change my username because the second half included the name of a device commonly used in college.

It's a drum. It's a line of clothing sold at Sears, for crying out loud. Shows how completely ridiculous their censorship policies are....

What about the drum? That's always the only thing I thought of.
