Havent been here in a while but I have a general question to all that frequent this thread. I see that many like the nautilus mini as a topper but Im looking for something even slimmer.
Of the very slim glassomizers available, which ones work well ( great flavor, good vapor, least amount of leaking and dry hits) with the istick? I purchased another one so they need some toppers, just been dripping so far.

So, yay or nay on Aspire k1, Aerotank mini, Genitank mini (same but diff airflow), or protank mini's. Do BVC's such as the Aspire K1 do well, and how do dual coil heads compare?

Thanks so much for any help provided, Im a broke chick so I have to narrow it down!

I prefer the Aerotank to the Nautilus, when both first came out, haven't tried the full sized Nautilus with the newer BVC coil which everyone seems to prefer. I did get a BVC mini Nautilus and I think its comparable to the Aerotank. I've always liked the mini ProTank 2 and its single coil although its rather airy and not adjustable for airflow. I think it edges out the Aerotank for flavor but looses in vapor. So I'd suggest either the mini ProTank 2 if you want single coil or Aerotank for dual. I'd say that the Aerotank is a better choice over the ProTank 3 for dual coils, the adjustable airflow makes a difference.

I replaced original bases that came with my PT2s (regular and mini) with Kanger airflow control ones and I really like the results, They let me regulate the airflow from very tight to wide open.

Kanger Air Flow control Valve Base Replacements

This one came with my mini Aerotank and I ordered an extra one for my PT 2 mini:

Kanger Airflow Control Valve - Mini V3

Love my Aerotanks. Genitanks are just like Aerotanks, but are not made of stainless steel. Functionally, they should be identical--AFAIK.

H Jamie, please remember that you are using dual-coil atomizers. A 1.5Ω dual coil atty is really two 3Ω coils configured in parallel; the 1.8Ω dual coil atty is really two 3.6Ω coils. :D

So, a 3Ω coil at 4 volts (I'm not sure what your battery actually outputs--this number is just an example) will give you 5.3 watts; a 3.6Ω coil--4.4 watts. I usually vape my stock dual coils at 4.2-4.8 volts, depending on the device, the juice I'm using, air flow etc.

If the lowest working voltage on the iStick is 4.2v, you can certainly use any stock dual-coil atty safely. You just have to be more careful with single coils; for instance, any 2.5 and up single coil (T3S, eVod, ProTanks 2) will work great and and is still within Kanger's recommended wattage (5-7.5W). You'll have to very careful with 2.3-2.4Ω coils--you may encounter very unpleasant dry hits. I wouldn't recommend anything lower than that (1.8 or 1.5Ω).

More on the subject--if you're interested:

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

KATYA! Thanks sooo much! I couldn't find my posts/questions via my cell (excuse = live/work in the country with very poor cell service, but truth is more likely user error, oy vey). I finally logged in on laptop and voila! Am going to read the link you sent me now. Truly appreciated!

ETA: I just noticed you and I have the same join date. Feb 2010. Am going to stalk your posts now (i.e.: my new cliff notes) and see how quickly I can catch up on all the advances that have taken place during the time I've been away from vaping. I backslid to analogs for a couple of years but have been (mostly) analog free since 6/7/14.

Take a look at the Evod glass. It's dual coil, slim and I've been having pretty good success with it. Nothing fancy but only about $8 so if you don't like it ...no biggee.

Take a look at the Kanger EVOD Glass. The Aerotank Mini and Genitank Mini should be great. The Kanger dual coil clearos seem to work really well on the iStick.

Also Aspire now makes replacement BVC coils for the rest of their line which took BDC coils. So you could look at a plethora of small tank designs. Personally I like the Pyrex BDC and its mini version. The mini is more likely what you want if you want a narrower tank. Comes in fuchsia, red, blue, black, silver and who knows what other colors. About half the cost or less compared to the Nautilus ones. And the Pyrex line has the colored metal shell to protect the glass. Colors don't match though, different manufacturers and each has their own colors.

Its always nice to hear about any store that gives half a care about the customer in today's "then go somewhere else because we don't care" retail attitude. Bookmarked them for a future purchase.

Yes, it is nice to know for sure. It was good of you to bookmark the site Bsoplinger.
They also sent out 510 to ego adapter when i mentioned issues with connection problems with ego type tanks.
Very good CS for sure.
