The X Lab: Aspire nautilus Observations:

Pauly Meatballs addressed the issue of wicking material breakdown to my satisfaction in his subsequent 9 August 2014 autopsy of a BVC atomizer he had vaped for two weeks, noting no apparent breakdown in the wicking material.

Based on Pauly’s autopsy video, I consider the matter closed and will continue to use my Aspire BVC atomizers.

Aspire™ Nautilus Observations

Thanks Gerrymi. Very nice writeup. I enjoyed reading it!

Discovered last night the pin on the istick is way shorter than the MVP's. I lifted the pin out fully from the body of the stick til I saw the attached wires and hadn't gotten it above the 510 well. I couldn't find purchase enough to hold the pin stable to get the oring on.

So I have an unusable blue istick. I was able to get the pin back into place. Going to try heading over to the local B&M, but never having been, I'm not sure if they'll be able/willing to help.

I'm a very sad vaper this morning.

I'm so sorry... Good luck and let's hope they can help you or exchange it for you.

About the Aspire heads, I have to say that I feel uneasy about them too. I cant claim to know what it really is made of and how it functions as its indented use but because I don't have a clue I still feel, umm weird about it.
Now, Im not saying that we are vaping with asbestos, though we prolly are.
Im not saying that the Chinese would use asbestos or a like material for inhalation purposes, ( but they prolly would).
Let me be clear, I jest, I don't know jack.

It does remind me of that though and the irony seems to amusing not to be possible...
Flame if anyone wants too..

It's not asbestos. It's fiberglass. :D Per Aspire.

Hey Lynn, nice avatar! It kinda tripped me out both of our posts next to each other, your dog looks like my pup does now.

Lovin' those avatars, and you're both in Ky? weird

Whoa, I missed that, that is weird. Let me go make sure my dog isn't missing...

They do look a lot alike! Male or female? My avatar is my youngest of three females. She will be 1 year in old in just a few days. She is a wild child, don't let the picture fool you! Yours is a cutie as well. I'm sure you got your hands full!

Louisville is only a couple of hours north of where I am. I live near Bowling Green.

May as well be asbestos... No, I'm kidding.

I'm going to try the bvc's to compare the dual coils. Everyone has been very helpful in my selections.Though I'm not going to say what specific products I'm going to try cause I know as soon as I do someone will post something that is better in comparison, and then Ill feel like poo :(

Hello all- purchased an eleaf istick a few days ago- should have it tomorrow. Currently running (and loving) an MVP 2 which has been a perfect mod to have for me.

I look forward to the isticks higher wattage so hopefully I can try out some dual coil setups and possibly 28 gauge single coil setups. Current vaping arsenal is comprised of:

MVP 2
Russian 91% v2
Protank 2
Aerotank Mega
and the istick on the way. I usually use 6-7 wraps of 30 gauge around a 16 gauge luer blunt needle for the Russian and 32 guage for the Protank 2 (typically shoot for 1.3-1.7 ohms) and I typically use Rayon as a wicking material.

Anyways, thought id say hi to the group of my new mod :)

Your going to love it. When you open the box you'll just fall in love. If only it had dimples to pinch..

You.., you.. you.. Evil little bird!

Self: Do NOT google the Silo tank, $12 for Aerotank .... walk away.

So sorry--just saw it, while looking for the Silo tank... :p

You don't want a Silo tank--the big one is too big--5 ml capacity--and too expensive--$35... The little one ($15) has no airflow control.

I've been reading several pages, but I gave up  Can anyone suggest a non glass tank to use with the istick? I ordered a natuilis mini, but things seem to get broken in my house and I feel like I need a non glass back up..

I'm using an "ismoka BCC Mega" that I had in my stash. It's working great. They are branded Eleaf now. I'm also using a cheap Madvapes carto tank. It's really just a battery. Just a really NICE battery!
