I'm glad I started "using electronic cigarettes" when I did.
Yeah, I hate the term "vaping" even if Oxford has accepted it.
From my first njoy Pro that I had to mod with a portable phone battery to stay off of analogs...
Who would have thought that we would expect batteries to to accommodate the demands of our individual atomizers.
I wish someone would do a timeline of the ECF Modders Forum. Everything we have now started there, and atomizers were last on the list.
Everything was 3.4 ohm. The goal was battery life and then power.
Then came low ohm attys, regulators, potentiometers, variable voltage, touch switches, top feed, bottom feed, batt explosions, venting requirements...............

Ahhh, I am loving this Egrip. Finally.

I hardly ever use mine, the flavor is just too muted for me.

I have 2 iSticks from 2 different sources. I use mostly Evod style clearos and rebuild my single coils around 2 ohms wicked with KGD or rayon. One of my sticks has a mushy fire button but other than that, which I can live with, no problems what so ever. I do set them lower than my other mods but that's fine with me. I use the knurled adaptor all the time (ego threaded toppers), one that came with one iStick, one purchased from Smart Vapes. Hopefully my luck continues.

No it`s not but that doesn`t explain a 2.8 ohm Kanger coil fail and a 3.0 ohm coil in a r91% fail.
It is really simple, some of these sticks do not work correctly.

It has nothing to do with mean vs RMS, some of these sticks do not work correctly.
and did I mention some of these sticks do not work correctly. :(

Curious then how one or more iSticks might perform radically different electrically than most others. Can you offer an informed theory why this might be, in terms of the simple electronics involved?

They are defective?

Not everything is user error, irwink. Trust me. :D

Ha Ha, Sorry, I skipped over my love for my 2 perfectly functioning isticks, to my new 1600mah, VV, juice fed, 1.5 ohm, all in one, Egrip. I love 'em all.

It's heavier than I expected, and I am looking forward to a higher ohm coil, but it rocks.

Gotta say this thread is difficult to keep up with.
Anyway an update; I had ordered a back up Eleaf from ecig dot com the 510 failed after just one day of use. I contacted them, they sent me a return label, and they sent me a return shipping label. Great customer service!!! Total turn around time has been about a week.
The original came in a padded envelope, plain white box and an ego adapter (no charger or cable, [didn't care I have plenty of chargers]). My replacement came in a nice large box, packing peanuts, fully sealed retail box; which included, charger, cable, ego adapter, and a brand new silver iStick (using it as I type this with my BigDripper clone with clear tank 1.0ohm coil), enjoying life right now.

Bottom line is I have had a great experience with ecig dot com, and plan to order from them again in the future.

I can't seem to get my iStick to read the Aspire K1 clearos with the adapter without having to fiddle with it a lot and even then it still messes up fairly quick after I get it right. It's getting frustrating. I keep getting the no atomizer notice even if I pull the center pin out and it works for a little while. I'm thinking of trying the Aspire mini Vivi Nova since its 510 threaded and I won't have to deal with the adapter and can still use my BVC coils. Are the vivi nova tanks comparable to the other Aspire BVC tanks?

This thread is hard to keep up with. It's really a multi topic thread... or a something mini, something naughty thread...

Many of us caught the ecigdotcom sale, and I think all were happy with the service from them. I know I was.

I don't own any, but I know three people who use and the Vivis with BDC (and BVC) coils on their iSticks.

This is what they are using:
