I don't know if this is of any interest to anyone but this is something that happened recently.

I bought a bunch of Protank 2s and 3s because I got a really good deal on them. I've only opened one so far, a Protank 2.

I put it on one of my iSticks with the istick's Ego adapter and beauty ring and got a 0.0 reading. Took the adapter and ring off, screwed it directly on the istick, same reading.

I put the Protank 2 on an Ego battery, won't fire.

I put it on my MVP, works fine.

I can see that the center pin on the Protank 2 looks a bit short of the bottom so that's probably the problem.

Yesterday I put an Ego adapter that I bought a long time ago from Madvapes on the istick and tried the Protank 2 again. Works great even with the beauty ring. In fact the Protank 2 sits above the beauty ring slightly.

So, if anyone has had a similar problem, try switching the Ego adapter that comes with the iStick for a different one.

You don't need all the different adapters- Just pull the center pin out just a wee bit.

These batts seem to last longer than what they indicate in Mah terms. I used to vape@ 1500Mah a day and only go thru maybe half of this batt. Plus it charges Really fast!

With a well needed adapter on and a 6ml tank, it sticks out of my shirt pocket too much now. A one-day batt with a one-day tank suits me fine.

I'm in for the smaller one!!!

Hey, can someone inform Eleaf that these aren't the shape of a stick, lol...

And you all thought the Istick was small

[h=1]Eleaf iStick Mini - 10 watt[/h]The eleaf iStick mini is a 10 watt version of the original iStick by iSmoka Eleaf. It will be a perfect on go vapor device with a battery capacity of 1100mah . Unlike the the original full size istick the device it will have round OLED display on the top , just next to it 510 connector, which will display all the parameters. It is going to be a great stealth device, small enough to completely fit on palm. Order eleaf istick mini.
    Package Content:

    • 1 x Eleaf iStick Mini
    • 1 x eGo Connector
    • 1 x User Manual

I've seen the listings, but no one had photos yet... GrimmGreen was correct when he stated in his iStick review: the ego battery IS dead. Especially now. It may not look like a cigarette, but it sure is stealthy, petite and pocket friendly. The regular one is small enough for me, but that's just... neat :)

That doesn't always work. I have batteries still sitting here that were often recharged before they got down where the led flashed time to recharge and one didn't last a full two weeks. The other lasted 8 months approzimately. Cell phone batteries as well as some others like rechargeable razors and other devices are obviously notorious for "remembering things"! But trying to recharge any battery at 1/4 use of the full battery never insures the battery will last any longer. Battery go when the material inside them is defeated where no longer able to hold a working charge.

No thank you on the mini! The regular size is small enough with a heavy enough battery to do the job! When you use a battery at 10w while it can go out to 20w you save on wear and tear. But when maxing a 10w to get the 10w out of it that stresses the battery and ends shortening the life span as the end result over a period of time.

On two equal batteries that will always work, but there is always the starting condition to take into account... Manufacturer defect, how long it day on a shelf before out got installed etc.. As far as razors, many of them still use ni-cad, which is why they still are affected by the memory issue, and I have never had a cell phone with a li-ion exhibit one

    Some good info on Li-ion

GG tends to make pronouncements like that--unfortunately... He also said recently that the DNA 40 technology is too little too late (sic) because we can get cheap 100-watt mods from China for less--and it all comes down to dollars per watt... ;)

I doubt that I will buy one. The full sized one is almost too small for my hands. Then again, it might be nice to have one with the bending adapter in my jeans pocket at work to stealth vape in the restroom, hmmm.

Anyone know what topper is shown in the pic?

I'm thinking it may be Eleaf's new GS Air (GS Air Atomizer). The talk is the GS Air uses the same coil heads as Joyetech's eGrip. If this is true, the new RBA base for the eGrip just might fit in the GS Air making it very attractive, especially for the price. The GS Air is <$12 (Eleaf GS Air Tank - Joyetech Tanks - Joyetech, Eleaf - Clearomizers Tanks). The eGrip RBA base is $12.50 (Joyetech eGrip RBA Base). Might be a winner...

I always use an adapter because I'm worried about stripping the threads. I don't wanna mess with the center pin unless I need to.

My response was regarding the center pin of your tanks not making contact. An adapter doesn't always fix that problem but pulling the center pin out a lil bit makes the contact.
Having adapters is good- you never knwo when you might need one. I need to organize mine again- I have too much stuff everywhere.

Typical "bigger is better" mentality. I almost never vape over 20w and I'm sure those that vape over 30w are a very, very small minority in the vaping community.

I still have some tank cracking juices so I rebuilt a few Kanger coils from .9 - 1.3Ω and slapped a 1.0Ω in an Aerotank v1 (only glass tank I have) and put it on an Istick yesterday. I haven't touched my Isticks since I got my rDNA 40 and cloupor boxes but this combo vapes pretty darn good.

Now that's interesting... Thank's for sharing. I'm looking for a small RBA for my iStick. I also saw a mini Erlkoningin clone on Fasttech for 13 bucks or so. But I have no idea if comes with a larger (2mm) airflow hole. I hate tight draw... And I really don't want an 8 ml tank.

    How cute is that? :D

Oh, I thought you meant the pin on the iStick. I did pull the pin out on the tank and it did make contact but I would need to do that every time it's put on because it just pushes back in. Anyway, the adapter works so now I can use any of my tanks on it.

The Ego has been dead, except for lack of a smaller more convienent device for vapers who couldn't or wouldn't build their own.
The modder forum went bigger, VV, more power... The Ego got to slide along in the mainstream. The istick should not have taken this long to come to market.

The eGo still outputs accurate voltage. You can safely use any topper, LR or not, single or dual coil, or a cartomizer, without risking a sudden death.

There are modders forums and then there is the real world--people who want a plug-and-play safe device to help them quit smoking.

    Just sayin'...:)

Airflow is pretty good on all the Erlk clones.
