I have a feeling he's just burning the :censored: out of them without even knowing it... You really can't vape any single stock coil below 3Ω on the istick. He's vaping way outside the specs--they are rated up to 7.5 watts, and the poor man is chugging at 10 watts.

Take those away from him and give him a dual coil atty, please....

ok so do you think these would work?

If those heads are accurately spec'd---which is to say, two 4.0-ohm coils in parallel that result in a 2.0-ohm dual coil---then they should be fine for the iStick. One would think so, at least. The problem I've noted with most of the Kanger-type heads (single-coil EVODs and ProTanks) is that they can't wick fast enough or keep the coul sufficiently wet to handle the iStick's 5.8 volt pulsed voltage.

Single vertical coils tend to be able to handle more heat and watts than equivalent resistance single horizontal coils, since verticals are wrapped in "wick blankets," which provide better liquid saturation to the coil and are thus less likely to burn. So, I ordered some of these to try out:

I grabbed some Demonfire 1200mah flat top high drain batteries now in use in both the Smok Guardian E-Pipe I mech mod and E-Pipe II variable wattage mod that just came out. I had also ordered a good deal I thought on an 8 pack of Panasonics and then found out why the tracking showed January 2015 mainly when placing the order at Amazon of all US places to shop the seller was apparently a Chinese vendor! If I knew it wasn't US I would have skipped that one having placed the order just before finding the others on Black Friday!

Now as for the first link you posted there this is what I see when arriving at what should be the product page.

Whoops, our bad...

The page you requested was not found, and we have a fine guess why.

If you typed the URL directly, please make sure the spelling is correct.
If you clicked on a link to get here, the link is outdated.

Ut Ohhhh..... Something didn't copy and paste correctly or.... you have to recopy and paste it all over again. $18.13 sounds great but like Sweet-Vapes has a much lower pre-order price on something I was informed that the other item's price went up due to the manufacturer raising it up suddenly due to increased production costs or something to that effect. Went up about $5. So your pre-order reservation may or may not hold if this place sees a price change upon release. Eleaf Mini iStick 1050mah Battery 10w max output wattage - Cvapor.com

And those are only 1050mah unlike the 2200mah seen with the regular iStick.

Sounds right in the middle of my projected price range Drysprocket! ;)
I don't know if a co-op is going to be able to get a much better price on these.
I can't decide if I want one. 1050 mah? But is cute, yeah but....? ...

Exactly my thoughts. It doesn't seem practical....but quite adorable. I kinda want one just to have it. Maybe I can put it in my sock like a spare revolver, so when I'm off-duty, I always have my piece.

I'm not sure, I just posted that entire thing above from the slickdeals forum (usually unrelated to vaping) so I'm not sure where they got that info.

I found a strap for my istick case. Not a wrist strap but even better for me. I'd post a pic but I'm lazy.
You know those freebie 3x AAA LED flashlights from Harbor Freight? The loop/straps on them are shorter than the istick, but just the right size to loop over your fingers to free up your hand. Perfect for me.

Not one iota on either iStick here so far! And that's when keeping one on me at all times in a pocket. Yet the Vamo Fire 20w wood body APV was going wild due to one button not springing back out like it should! I have to pry it out with finger tips to keep that from scrolling upwards once I have it set where I want it for the particular flavor in at the time. If it isn't one thing it could be another?!

My Istick is starting to get wonky on me. It's changing wattage settings on its own. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Check the ohm reading on it. I have a 2.2 head that shows anywhere from 1.6-2.3 ohms. I have noticed it but haven't tried to figure it out. So if I'm in watt mode it is going to adjust. I've been staying in volt mode. I have 2 isticks, one with a bending adapter. That may cause the difference. I don't know.

Hey all. So I'm thinking of biting the bullet and getting an Eleaf for my Christmas gift to myself. The eleaf has been out for a bit now, So I've been wondering what is the consensus on it? Do you all like it, love it, hate it? or should I just get another MVP since my hubby took mine since I got a vamo. I want something smaller to carry around while out and about.

Thanks

I love mine. No problems with the threads. It's barely bigger than my old 14500 Nicostick. It fires a little hot, but I use higher ohm coils. It just works.

if you're only looking for one a co-op won't be much use to you ;)
