Has anyone bought the esmart and checked it on an oscilloscope to see whether it's mean or still rms?

.....I think it's unlikely that we'll see an iStick of any stripe soon that's calibrated to RMS. Chances are better with the competing mods that are coming the market---the Beyang and Cloupor 30W minis probably being the first of many that will be available soon. Despite its flaws, the iStick has generated so much buzz (and sales) that other Chinese manufacturers/distributors are rushing to come out with "improved" competitive versions. Those will still be PWM most likely, but RMS calibrated.
Just my opinion, of course. I could be wrong.

I think the iStick and the soon to be multiple other similar mods are great little units, about the height of a fixed voltage eGo 650 and they put out 20-30 watts.
What I don't understand is the idea a 20-30 watt mod is ever going to be a great idea for the average carto / clearo user. It's like them trying to use a 350 horsepower golf cart, great on paper but impracticable in person.
I don't see anytime soon that high power mods will operate well at very low wattage, doesn't matter if they are calibrated in unicorn toots. The majority of the operable power band is always going to burn the stock coils and juice in most cartos.
Arghh guys I need some recommendations for a tank other than the Nautilus Mini. I'm having some serious issues with my SECOND tank. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what. Here's my thread if anyone's curious or would like to take a stab at figuring this out with me http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-nautilus-mini-leaking-gurgling-bubbling.html
However, I'm going to Chicago over Christmas and need to have something that works. What's a good tank other than the Aspires? I have the beauty ring and the ego adapter so I don't mind if it's wider than the iStick.
Yeah sorry bout that, i use a full size nautilus, not sure what other tanks work on there maybe the GS AIR?
GS Air Atomizer

Agreed.

[IMO] The GS Air is a downgrade. The Nautilus is waaaay better. The GS Air uses the same airhole style like a Kayfun & for me, it just doesn't get enough air.
Ok, I just took a close look at my bending adapter (under a bright worklight and magnification). Looks to me like the springs on mine are held in place by recesses
Is it possible that there are more than one version floating around out there already?
mind to explain "oscilloscope" "rms" mean? I'm confused
BIG difference ---it will be like getting a brand new, significantly upgraded tank!I only mentioned the GS Air because he stated he was having issues with his Nautilus mini.
I have a question, would i be better off using the BVC coils with full size Nautilus? I have the regular 1.6 ohm ones now , how much of a difference is there?
Both Nautilus full and mini size tanks have been working out well here. I didn't rush at them when first out but waited a couple until the discounts and BF specials where I was planning to update/upgrade hardwares here anyways and found them to run well at 11w-15w. Besides the Atlantis still waiting for one overdue with holiday mail apparently another tank besides the Kanger Sub Ohm has come into view namely the new Horizon Scion Bottom Quad Core tank that supposedly puts out clouds at the lower wattages and an 0.8ohm coil preinstalled.
.......
I really can't see what all the fuss is about! RMS bah! I have used iStick since it came out and really happy. It is so simple to use ie: push buttons to adjust output to suit taste, how hard is that for the average user?.
Strange how a simple thread on a device quickly turns into a Electronic discussion on a $26 item.
Merry Christmas
