Dear Friend,
We contacted factory and [Pre-order] 30W Eleaf iStick 2200mAh OLED Screen MOD Battery just has an regular DC (direct current) output mode. NO RMS mode.
Thanks for your attention.
Greetings,
Heaven Gifts
What HeavenGifts had to say is interesting. I'm not sure how much we can read into it though... Their response makes it sound like the 30W iStick won't be using pulse-width-modulation but similar technology to the DNA 40/SX350 chipsets; a full DC-DC, Buck/Boost chipset capable of outputting a flat, smooth DC current. This would be great for the vaping experience but less efficient for battery life. I'm actually hoping for a PWM device running at 48Hz+. The upgraded 510 connection is more than welcome. But, watt for watt, if the battery life is noticeably less than the 20watter, this may not be the device we're hoping it to be.
With so many different options currently materializing, staking claims to our vaping budgets, we may be more wise waiting to learn what the new devices can do before spending our hard-earned dollars. I don't have a huge collection of mods. Nor do I want one. In the last coupla months, a majority of my vaping budget has gone toward DIY e-liquid. That has probably had a larger impact on my overall happiness than any single mod purchase.
Besides addressing health concerns, my second most important goal in making the switch to "e-cigarettes" is to lower my $2500/year nicotine expense.
ETA: After writing the above, a thought occurred to me. Maybe I'll wait to pick up a failed 30watter or two for a few bucks a piece and transfer the new top cap to my 20W iStick; assuming it's an easy swap.
I hope everyone in the NE is enjoying the snow.
