Just got mine today. I'm very happy indeed. I love the size, the 510 connection, the voltage output seems to be what it should be. No rattle whatsoever. I have my Emow mega on it at 4.3v and it's vaping like a dream (I had it at 3.2 volts on the istick 20).

barely!

you have no idea just how many vapers, both on vaping forums, but esp. NOT on vaping forums, who love the old technology, and quit smoking using an ego twist and an evod clearomizer or T2, etc. As a matter of fact, many still prefer them. Ditto for simple batteries......I never have vaped over 8 watts. I rarely have ever turned a battery up past 4.1-4.2. And that's going on 3 years.

Although I've actually "owned" all the big stuff. I sold it all off.

Right now, manufacturers are shooting themselves in foot by not keeping simpler smaller gear alive. I personally have no desire to carry around anything bigger than an ego battery.
I know and agree. I started out with ego c then vivi novas then T3 then pt1 then pt2. The protanks to me were never that good. The thing is I couldn't quit smoking till I got a Kayfun. That was a couple years ago, nowadays the are many inexpensive options such as aerotank or nautilus that beat the pt2 hands down.

It wasn't my intention to belittle old tech just believe there are many simple cheap tanks out there that would work great on a twist or istick and give a much better experience than the protanks.

Forget the Aerotank and Nautilus. I just got an Eleaf Air tank. Hands down the best commercial tank ever made. Total sleeper. You can get one for under 10 bucks.

Thank you, Javamon, for the heads up. :toast:

I couldn't agree more! I have 4 GS-Airs, and I LOVE them. I use them all the time now. My nauti-mini's are sitting unused.

And, evape-us has them for under $9. Can't beat this little tank!!! And, they are back in stock at evape-us.

Seriously. I've been so frustrated as of late--as y'all may have noticed.

Anyway, this tank is a total sleeper. The flavor it delivers is clean and crisp, not aftertaste of any kind. It produces soft clouds of fragrant vapor. The draw is exactly how I like it out of the box, but it is adjustable--haven't played with it yet. It's just awesome. And it hits so nicely! Woot! You hit the button and the vapor is just there, ready to be gently sipped rather than sucked out from the drip tip. What a joy!

I have no idea if this bliss will last--I'm on my first coil. But I already had to add some PG to my juice to lower the nic level! That thing made me woozy at 12 mg/ml. :D

I know. I'm so surprised. I knew it would be good--it was getting rave reviews, but I didn't think it would be that good.

You're right and I apologize. I should have read Mac's post more carefully and explained that the coil was stress tested at 45 watts and that he considered the practice unadvisable. As it were, I just grabbed the picture to illustrate my general uneasiness with high wattage vaping and its possible dangers. Kanger recommends 30 W max for those coils. I'll edit my OP.

Having said that, I'm still uneasy about what happens when we vape at very high temperatures. Dr. Farsalinos is conducting a study on the subject as we speak and I, for one, can't wait to see the results.

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/e-cigarette-research-temperature-of-evaporation

"Continuing our commitment for unbiased research on e-cigarettes, we are now launching a new campaign for what we consider to be THE MOST IMPORTANT aspect in e-cigarette safety and future development: TEMPERATURE OF EVAPORATION. Although e-cigarettes do not combust any material, heat is necessary to generate the vapor (aerosol) which is subsequently inhaled by the users. This can result in thermal decomposition of some e-cigarette ingredients, releasing potentially toxic chemicals (most commonly aldehydes, such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and acrolein). Until now, no study has systematically evaluated temperatures inside the wick, while we have observed several methodological mistakes in assessing aldehydes release (e.g. ingoring that higher wattage is associated with less puff duration in realistic use)."

A much more thoughtful post. Well said and I agree 100%. :toast:

Bought myself another 30 and had a gs air in my basket but took it out and put aspire BVC coils in it. Wanted to try those before I totally give up on the nautilus altogether. Well it's for my kid anyway and she'll be happy with my old Istick 30 (like what? two weeks?) and a nautilus. Can't wait to try the wife's Sophia and D-base on it. Sure hope it gets here before V-day.
