You build that top cap on the 20w? The one I have is quite a bit taller. My wife is using it and I'm a little worried that she'll drop it and shatter the cap like I did mine before I can replace her 30w that she destroyed the charge port on lol. Obviously she's technology challenged. Mini port chargers are a challenge unless it's that bidirectional iphone charger that's impossible to screw up.
I did TXBiker.
I had destroyed the metal top plate so I had to make something that would hold the FDV 510V4 connector. A little Lexan and the Dremel provided a solution. Not as nice as the laser cut black ones, but there were none of those to be found. :)

Here are a few pictures of the build.

Oh I have no interest in getting the 50w, I don't think Ive ever went over 10w on my isticks, I just love their small size, and the 50w is too big for my taste. The gear I got sucked into tonight was the GS Air tank. I have absolutely NO NEED for any more tanks, but the people on this thread could sell ice cubes to Eskimos, lol.

Resistance is futile. :)

Got my istick 30w today and it's awesome.

I'm going to use a 510 to 510 adapter to help save the threads with GS Air.

Do you think that's being too cautious and unnecessary?

The 20W-iStick had soft (?brass) threads and many used 510=>510 adapters, AFC's, etc. to prevent "stripping" them.

The 30W-iStick has Stainless Steel threads. I screw my toppers directly into it.

Never heard of it before but It looks like the iJust air is out iJust Air Atomizer.

I'm still glad I got the GS Air but I'd love to have 3.7ml

After all the "raves" for the GS Air I was quite intrigued...but the 2.5ml. capacity was a turn off for me.

However the 3.7ml. iJust Air may do the trick. For those of you that have a GS Air...does the iJust Air appear to be "just" a GS Air with more capacity? Or are there other differences between the two that I'm not noticing?

Different coils from the looks of it, those look like the coils for the GS16 and GS16S which are the push in type instead of the threaded shorter ones on the GS Air.

Hey all, has anyone else found that the iStick 30W produces a slight harshness to the vapor? It's not a burning smell or dry hits, there's plenty of juice being fed, it's just got a rough sort of bite to it. I realize there were issues along these lines with the 20W version, but I thought the 30W was going to be all good, but I just cannot seem to find my vaping sweet spot. I have tried a wide variety of wattages with both my Nautilus Mini and the Atlantis, both with properly primed coils. With the Nautilus, I get either too little vapor or enough vapor with a harsh edge to it, but when I put the Nautilus my Innokin battery, there's no harshness. I get similar results with the Atlantis. In both cases, this harshness is enough to tear up my throat by the end of the day.

I agree that egos are great - but you're not talking about old stuff here. You're talking about not-long-ago stuff. :)

 Of course, not 2009 stuff, with the fish acquarium filler, etc. However, people DID quit smoking using that stuff too. :) My hat's off to them for sure.

Some of it was kinda neat though, like the dual 14500 battery boxes that Madvapes had, evercool or something, vari cool, forgot what it was called.

And by the way, I'm certainly not against high watt vaping and big stuff. Technology is great.

I was just remarking that I see small stuff being discontinued by many sites in favor of carrying big stuff (which is good for me, since I can buy a clearo for $2-3) LOL

I have the same atty's, and ten 30w iSticks....I don't have a problem with any atty on any iStick (including the 10w 20w and 50w)....just set the wattage to my liking....good to go.

Nope. Both my iStick 30s produce a vape that's smooth and silky with every tank I put on 'em. I'm not suggesting that your experience isn't correct, just that I'm not having that problem.

How do you effectively use 10 iSticks? :)

So - You're the reason why they're out of stock everywhere. :)

I don't use them, you want them?------------------:D

When things are on sale, I tend to get carried away, plus I give away more vaping gear than I keep....I try to get every person I know off cigarettes by giving them free gear to try.

I've only been vaping a couple months, but along with myself not smoking after 40 years....many many of my friends no longer smoke either.

So, I finally got my 6mg non-PG Mythos Athena juice in today (Dessert Tobacco). I've been trying it out for a while now in the Subtank Mini on my iStick 30. Much better than my overly thin 12mg VG juice I was using before - though I'm not sure if I'm a fan of that particular Mythos flavor. No more loud popping (or any popping at all) when I first take a drag (regardless of which air hole I'm on). The coil still crackles some at higher wattages - which I think is normal. 6mg juice is still clearly too much nicotine for me in a Subtank, but it is more manageable when taking mouth-to-lung hits. Even using 1.2 ohm heads, I think the Subtank may just be too hot a vape for me, as I keep finding myself dialing down the wattage. I'm at 11 watts now, and may go down further. 11 watts isn't too bad, and it still gives me a bit more flavor and vapor compared to my usual 2.1 ohm TDC iClear 16s, but not by a huge margin. I may go back to trying my Mini Nautilus when the newer Nautilus BVC coils are available everywhere and I don't have to guess who has them in stock.

I'm still struggling to get the Subtank running in a way that I will prefer over an iClear 16 set at around 3.5 volts or less. So far, the Subtank has a propensity for making me cough after a few drags at anything over 11 watts (3.6 volts). Going to an even lower strength juice would help, but I'm feeling that still might not be enough. I may have to try building a higher resistance coil on the Subtank's RBA deck, but I was really hoping to avoid rebuilding again. There's a chance I'll just have to give up on the idea of using a "sub ohm" tank altogether. Instead, this tank could end up being the equivalent of a 1.5 ohm range high juice capacity "clearomizer" for me. That isn't a terrible thing, but maybe something cheaper (like one of those eLeaf tanks?) would have been better suited for what I'm trying to accomplish.

I'll get some 3mg juice and see how that works. The Mythos e-liquid is wicking great at all wattages I've tried so far. I'm just not sure I like the flavor all that much. It is vaguely reminiscent of something like Turkish Blended, but not as "spicy". It has some depth to it. It isn't bad, but it is no Boba's Bounty. I haven't steeped it at all yet though, so the flavor profile could improve greatly. The stuff seems pretty fresh, and has a surprisingly decent aroma from the glass bottle (for an e-liquid). Mechanically speaking, the Subtank Mini is working perfectly fine now. No leaks. No dry hits. Decent flavor delivery and vapor production - even at lower than recommended wattages on the iStick. It just might not be the right type of device for my style of vaping, but I can't say I've regretted buying it. Even if I stop using it, I'll be happy I have it just in case I want to use the RBA deck in the future. For the money, the Subtank Mini makes more sense to use in comparison to a Kayfun.
