I just got a coupe of GS Airs today. I have to say they are very good. Very close to my nautilus minis. I'm a lung hitter and the airflow isn't bad. The tiny screw for airflow is kinda weird but I just leave it all the way open. eleaf says they will handle 20 watts but mine is set at 10 right now on my 20w and I'm getting good vapor and flavor.

Edit; I also got a couple of black silicone skins. I really like them. Ordered it all from Sweetvapes

That quote was mine, but you've misinterpreted. My perception is that the iStick 50 and iPV Mini 2 70 both fire immediately upon pressing the fire button, with no ramp-up delay to reach the selected wattage.

Only the iPVs (Mini 30W and Mini 2 70W) have the 0.8 volt 1-second boost beyond the selected wattage. The iStick 50 does not boost. What you set is what you get, and you get it immediately, with no ramp-up.

Hi Bill...

You're right...twice! :headbang:

That is a quote from your (excellent) post...and I did misinterpret what you said.

"Expectations Alter Perceptions"

I now understand what you were saying. I have an IPV Mini on the way and will (in all likelihood) soon have a 50W-iStick. So I should be able to "experience" what you are pointing out.

it stayed in the wall...

After one has a "certain" number of USB charging devices...it certainly makes life much easier (to consider) getting a multi-port USB charger. I LOVE the one I have...but Amazon has numerous other choices.

[Don't worry about the charger port outputs (eg. 2.1A, 1.3A, etc.)...the charger does NOT push out current...the Mod draws in the current it needs.]

Gigetto,

Edit: With good battery care, I would figure on 1 year a reasonably obtainable mark. Considering the cost of the batteries, $50 is a steal .

I totally agree, here in Australia an AW 18650 average price $18 AUD, I usually have to replace these for my Mods 2 - 3 three time a year and I have quite a few Mods to feed. Sure I could go with cheaper batteries but to me its safety first, from what I have read in other threads the batteries in the iStick series are deemed to be safe.
So yes good value indeed, IMO.

I think the 30 watt Istick spring loaded pin on mine is partially stuck. It's making contact just fine but seems to have lowered to what it once was a few days ago. I'm not over tightening or anything but I can screw my subtank on more now as the air hole has moved from its previous postion.

Not sure if It's normal for it to change after some use...

Are the coils for the gs air rebuildable?

Someone on the GS air thread just posted pics on how to rebuild the coils. I don't know how to post a link to that thread but I promise it's there. [emoji17]

I have what may be a silly question but it's one I hope someone can help me with. I received a USB charger with my Istick 50W but it doesn't have a wall plug. Could I use the wall plug that I use with my ereader (NOOK)?

Any power block for a usb plug will work e.g. Cell phone/tablet/kindle/iPad/iPod wall adapters will work fine. As mentioned above the mod draws the current it needs so as long as the wall plug outputs at least1A you're good to go. It can put out more (2.1A like iPad/tablet plug) and it will still draw 1A, same with a plug that puts out less than 1A but that one will take longer to charge.

My 20w won't charge on a 1A wall wart, but charges fine on a 500mah one

I just got my new iStick in today, and my Kanger Subtank Mini fits it perfectly. My Aspire CF SubOhm Battery is what I have been using with the Subtank; right now it's paired with my Aerotank V2.

The iStick 50w really packs a punch, and I've only taken it up to 25 watts. Of the two the iStick has much more power, but the Aspire CF SubOhm is not to be discounted, either, as it can handle my Subtank, too.

I do prefer the iStick, and am very glad I went ahead and got the 50w, because my Subtank Mini just feels like it was made for this box Mod.
