Thanks Kat, I meant to say that I did hear early on that it WAS a really bad idea burning them. :)

You can't dry burn any coil that comes in direct (or very close) contact with any flammable material. That includes all cartomizers, Aspire BVC and BDC coils, or any coils (vertical or horizontal) with cotton or rayon wicks. :)

I've never dry burned a coil with the wick in it. I don't see how you could effectively without burnin the wick material:2c:

I did--you can dry burn coils with amorphous silica rope type wicks, like Kanger coils. Dry burning cleans the coil and the wick at the same time.

See my favorite video: :D

World of Vape in California has only the NEW ASPIRE COILS WITH COTTON

They have very low prices on most things and surprisingly fast shipping

I like them much better than My Freedom Smokes

WORLDofVAPE - Best Vape - Best Price

World seems to always have the latest things for Vaper users, in my experience and very good prices

(and no I don't work for them)

That is really interesting Evie

I will have to try it!

Just to verify Kelog. I only tried that a couple of times when I first got my Mini's and I heard early on that it was not a good idea to dry burn them. So this is the reason I just started buying them up when they were on sale because they are just throw aways. Just making sure you read back a couple of posts and Kat posted a good point on this. Safety first! :)

Has anyone noticed the way the post seals on the diagram @Eleaf US? It seems maybe that it only seals @ the top or bottom of it's travel. Wondering if a topper not able to fully seat would drip all eliquid down in the unit??

Maybe I'm not looking at it correctly?

My take on that spring loaded 510 is that the orange bit is a rubber boot type of device that sits in a channel on the pin like an o-ring. It looks like when the pin is depressed the orange piece compresses with it. The pic on the left shows the orange bit in it resting position, the pic on the right shows it to be compressed so it seems to me that it moves with the pin.

That said, I don't think that juice would leak inside the unit through the floating pin. But if the rubber boot is anything like the 20W's insulator, then down the road who can say... :)

Thanks for the feedback!! Wasn't sure what I was looking at on the diagram.

Denture tablets again, lol. Vaping has come full circle. Can't remember what we used them for back then- atties?

Saw a post where someone was using Teabags or coffee filters around their coils also Haha..

We're back to the old and heated debates about cleaning cartomizers. ;)

Can't be done. Really. Honestly. We tried. :D

The yellow part looks to be a flexible seal also. The orange seal appears to compress it as the pin is pushed down. They drew 2 small squares in the left image below the orange washer seal that I don't think belong there. At any rate it looks like a fair seal is provided.
