OfficialWire: Electronic Cigarette Bans Seriously Questioned By The Public

The substance "diethylene glycol" that is being used as a reason to ban electronic cigarettes, is openly reported as being a non-tobacco ingredient in Philip Morris cigarettes via their website

It just keeps getting more and more interesting with each passing day.

I've clicked on the link several times - nowhere do I find any article "electronic bans seriously questioned by the public. What's up?

It took me a moment to find it, but you'll need to do a search using the term 'e-cigarettes' in the search box at the top right (in the USA tab).

I just checked again and didn't find it.

Thanks for the help, I tried it several times - again No Luck!!! I quit, that's enough frustration for one evening.

Electronic Cigarette Bans Seriously Questioned By The Public

There has been many electronic cigarette bills come to the table that are trying to ban the all new electronic cigarette. Currently there is one in New York. Many people who use electronic cigarettes and businesses who sell them are seriously concerned with the bill and the wording in it.

Thanks much! I finally got there. It's an interesting article but I sincerely wish the author would not have gone on and on about diethylene glycol and how it is placed purposefully in tobacco cigarettes(that was a good point, just make it and move on) but he contiinues to refer to this concluding that the FDA shouldn't then use this as the main objection to e-cigs. Most people are going to reach the age old thinking "...well two wrongs don't make a right..." It is my understaning that the diethylene glycol found was a very small, 'trace' amount and was found in only one cartridge among sixteen (this being from only one e-cig company) - thus I feel it is likely only an anomaly. I would certainly agree with further "legitimate and UNBIASED testing, in addition to some standards for quality control, but not outright banning, especially absent any documented cases of actual harm.
