I have cut down on analogs considerably but still haven't been able to quit the dang things altogether yet. But the e-cig has at least helped me accomplish that, which no other NRT has been able to do. And I do look forward to the day I pick up my last analog. That will be a day of celebration for me! :p

Me too, me too. I am down to 9. I will quit thanks to these pv's. I couldn't quit before this and therefore never even tried. If the success rate is so good, better than all the other ways, how can big brother even think about banning something that works? I think it has alot to do with money, power, and those with power want us to beg and grovel. Makes 'em feel impotant

I am having much better success quitting than any of the hundred previous trys. Have tried patches, pills, gums, aversion therapy, hypnosis, cold turkey and a few others I've forgotten. This has taken me from at least 1 pack per day to 2 or 3 analogs a day without the terrible cravings in 2 weeks. I am thrilled.
Sorry I found the poll already done.

The only problem I have faced with my ecig is riding my bike (motorcycle) at 40 miles an hour without the it singing my beard!
Further this is the least expensive way I have found to try to quit, since I am an ex-epileptic, Chantix, Welbutrin, Et Al. are out since one of their 'side effects' is seizures.
The patches and gum both make me sick to my stomach and too expensive, so that eliminates them. So far, instead of a carton a week, its about down to a pack a week, with probable further reductions in the near future.
Yes, I am a happy camper now.

It was hard for me to answer some of these..I'm sorta in the middle of things. I quit smoking for 3 months, and ordered my first e-cig, which has been shipped but not here yet. In my excitement and anticipation I began smoking analogs again, but much less that I had previously. I'm positive that if this becomes a good alternative I will give up analogs. I'm also thrilled that juice comes in zero nicotine varieties. Can's wait! :)

Just found this one. This is just another poll that I missed along the way...
I wish all of these polls could be put in a folder so we all saw them and would vote. I was just searching for "poll:"

well here's my big second post :) I have never vaped... to date. It's on order and will get in next day or 2. So was honest on the poll and said I think they should replace analogs.

I have been lurking for weeks and reading all I can, following links, digging articles and have to say that only a complete ..... would be against personal vaporizers... {Or one who is bought off by the tobacco companies}

The research is all here. The article on how we know pg is not bad for us is phenomenal {Kudos on that one} But after weeks of research we ordered our first vaporizers and can't wait to try them.{Spikey's video clinched it. Couldn't resist a cute lady showing them off ;) }

I have tried everything under the sun to quit smoking, from patches to gum, zyban to inhalers. {Chantix is way off my list... suicidal/homicidal tendencies... and it's allowed? Not to mention a chance of getting that muscular disease!} I truly believe the vaporizer is my wife and I's only hope of getting off analogs. We have already ordered almost all of this... everything we need 2 kits/2 extra batterires/ 2 charging kits... DIY cartridge making supplies, as well as enough pg nic juice and flavoring for 3-6 months... {Final order will be placed tomorrow}That is how confident this forum and the links it provides has us. {Ordering more batteries and atomizers later as well ;) }

Thank you for this great forum and we can't wait to start vaping and get off these analog things soon. You are an excellent bunch of people and we are willing to do whatever we can to help the fight. {Digging and signing already in progress ;) }

Best regards all and see you in the forums,

Hi \o
my first post (as I haven't found a "hello thread" yet)
and it was funny taking the poll... I answered NO to am I a smoker, and I honestly feel like I am no longer a smoker.

I switched over to e-cigs one month and 3 days ago and seem to have quit "smoking" by accident lol.
My Lady got me a mini e-smoke 2 months ago for my birthday, and our thinking was we could smoke them anywhere (and I do) but I never thought I'd stop smoking altogether. in fact, I love smoking and have been a pack a day smoker for just over 30 years. I had no intention of quiting!

but after a month of getting the hang of it (the small e-cig was ok, but with only one battery I was charging all the time) and ordering a couple of joye 510's I haven't gone back!

I'm totally blown away by it, as is everyone who knows me. I don't think there is a picture of me taken in the last 30 years that doesn't have a cigarette in it lol

cheers,
an ex-smoking
snuggs

I had to really dig to find this post...wish it were in a more prominent place. Also, I bet these figures are no longer accurate. Many who first voted my have switched over completely now.
I would like to see a NEW poll, posted where it CAN'T be missed. Also, I would like it to be voted on ONLY by those who have owned a PV for at least a month. The "switched completely" numbers surely go up with time, wouldn't you think?
