OP - Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion. However, when that opinion appears to be based mostly upon misinformation (and/or the lack of factual information), yet is posted as if it were factual...it's bound to be disagreed with strongly by others. Your post contains SO MUCH of that, it's hard to find the words and the space to hopefully provide you with the correct information. So, I won't "go there" at all. Instead, here's some personal info. I hope you'll consider:
(1) I was a 1 - 1 1/2 pack a day smoker for 42 years, who'd tried many of the "smoking cessation" products you mentioned in your post. None of them worked. vaping did!
(2) I was diagnosed with mild COPD about 16 years ago. Since I've been vaping...there is NO medical evidence of that mild COPD now, based upon my regular test results for it.
(3) At every doctor's check-up since I've started vaping and quit smoking...my doctor says my lungs continue to sound clearer than they have in many years. He also gave me a huge "high 5" when I started vaping to quit smoking!
(4) The nicotine level I'm vaping is actually lower than the nicotine I regularly got in the cigarettes I smoked for 42 years.
In addition to my personal medical info., you may also want to consider the following:
Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is conducting a 4 year long, $3 million study on ecigarettes. (It's a highly respected, nationally known Cancer Center.) They're trying to find out if ecigarettes should be classified as a smoking cessation alternative. The current products designated as such, DON'T HAVE a high success rate, yet many many former smokers worldwide have successfully quit with the help of vaping. Moffitt's study participants include those who are current smokers only, smokers who also vape, and former smokers who've successfully quit smoking by vaping.
Part of their testing/study involves having various participants test different types of vaping hardware & methods, different nicotine levels in eliquids, various flavors/types of eliquids, etc. They also have bloodwork testing done on participants to check their oxygen levels, nicotine levels, etc. as the study progresses. I know these details are factual because I'm a member of 1 of the study groups.
Last, here's a terrific article about nicotine, that will provide you with some true information on it. Hopefully it will clear up some things for you regarding it:
