I notice that my numbers have been higher. Not much change in the diet. I was for years between 100 and 130 in the morning, but have seen a swing of a lot of 140 to 160's. I have been vapeing for about 4 months now.

Don't know if it has any thing to do with vapeing, or just some other change or stress, etc....

Perhaps check in with your doctor to see if the two of you together can figure it out.

Quitting smoking is a stress. I dunno how long you've been not smoking (or if you still have a few a day, just looking at your join date is all I have to go on)

Still, the doctor might want to know about your readings.

I have a meeting schedule with the doc in june. Very interested to find out what all my numbers are.

Your seeing exactly what I'm seeing thats why I started this thread. I've been vaping for about 2 months. I would follow this thread and see if you come up with any answers.

Keep us posted and if you have not read this entire thread please do. Lots of good info here. We are both in a very simular situation. I was very regular at 110 - 120 and very rarely over 120 before I started vaping. I am now consistantly over 150 and as high as 225. I contribute this change to my new form of nicotine intake, Stress, lack of rest and my eating meals so far off schedual. My diet hasen't really changed but at what time I eat has drastically changed. I went to the doctor just to put my mind at ease that there was'nt somthing seriously wrong then went to work getting back on track and I'm starting to see results. I'm reducing stress by deligating more at work, Getting back on a regular eating schedual, Looking at and fine tuning my diet and getting more rest. I've notice a change for the good where I'm staying below 150 and my swings are not as large as they've been. So what I'm doing may be a good thing for you to consider.

You're a true inspiration Danny.....
I would kill to have the numbers that worry you.
So far today I woke at 148...which for me is a victory. Anything under 200=:toast:
Did a correction bolus....got around for work and was 123 upon arriving at work.
Worked,had a banana(roughly 24 carbs=3 unit bump)...worked, worked etc....
278 @10:45.
6 unit correction bolus.....139 at lunch....
62 carb lunch= 8 unit combo bolus.....blood sugar at 2:00 = 140ish
@ 2:20 I was fumbling..broke into a sweat and caught myself at 52....

That's not a typical day for me but not atypical either. I can run like this for a few days, then run very high for a few, then run stupid low for a few. At least every day is an adventure:D.

I'm really surprised and very happy about the activity in this thread. It's cool to lean on folks that understand why you need to lean on something. Normal folks don't get us.

Grrrrrr...daughter just came home with a big slab of lasagne and a piece of some dessert that raised my blood sugar just by being in the same room with it.....sometimes I hate normal people...lol

Wow got up this morning had a cup of coffee and a bowl of shredded wheat and took my meds but in the rush rush of the big day of chores ahead of me I forgot to check my blood. So I went to work tackleing the chores of cutting the grass, raking, opening the pool and just sweeting my ... off in this 90 degree heat. I decided to take a break and have some lunch. About an hour later I remembered "Wow I havent checked my blood all day". When I did I was an amazing 114 the lowest I've been in quite a while.

The point I'm trying to make is exercise has not been discussed here yet. It is one of the most benifical things a person with dibeties can do to improve there health. I am going to plan a regiment of exercise starting with a good run on the treadmil every morning.

Awesome buddy.....glad you had a good day.
I had a good day myself.....all things considered...:toast:...

I see you often in DIY threads. Saw you in the seed steeping area....also saw you with a prime 15 replicant....
In the prime thread you said you HAVE it with t-5 and ap.
I'm doing the t-5 which I really like, and I'm up with ap....but I do not get any prime 15 taste from t-5 and ap.....

Thoughts???

6% - 7% T5
1% AP
1% sweetner

I use it in a bottom coil kanger T3 to me it's pretty close but taste is so subjective.

Just don't get the Prime flavor on t-5....but others say they do.
I've heard trimethyl pyrazine is the missing link, but I've yet to try it......
Going to however. prime 15 is my fave.....

Wow! I wish I had that kind of stamina!
I absolutely agree. Saturday (Soooo hot here. Over 90) I spent about 45 minutes in the round pen with the horse. My fingersticks the rest of the day were in the perfect range (91-110) Even 2 hours after a piece of (multi-grain crust) pizza.
Sunday I spent about 30-35 minutes working him and they were very good the rest of the day. Went stupid and had a hamburger (but on multi grain bun) and still didn't go over 130. Did get a small dip to 75 putting off my 8:30 PM snack (I was busy) shaking hands but no headache or sweating.

Even a little bit of exercise helps. You don't need to do 2 hours of an intense workout; but if you can, good for you! a 10 minute fast walk a couple times a day just in circles around the outside of the house will get ya started.

I'm having trouble with going from high (for me, around 180) to very low (for me, around 70) in the same day on this new medication. I've set timers on the phone to remind me to snack cause I don't get hungry and forget. It's something I'll have to bring up to my doctor.

"normal people" just don't understand.

I need NO reminders to snack. That's been a big part of my problem.
