juice question for folks ...
I don't like what I read about PG starting to have some links to health issues. I figure I'm in this for the long-haul and I
vape for health so why backpedal? Therefor I've been working with 100% VG (well, since it is synthetic these days for pharma quality ... just Glycerine, but VG is easier to type about). However for my pipe (just using a basic Clearomizer) it takes a pretty hard pull and I am noticing it collect a bit more in my lungs.
What about cutting the VG with about 10% distilled water? I use water to clear my Clearo between flavors anyway. I tried last night and it seemed fine, it let it pull just a bit easier.
My question:
1) Surely there's no issue with the water in lungs, as at this quantity (especially where I live since we have average humidity below 20% many days) it would just be more "humid".
2) I know that putting pure water through is going to cause the atomizer to burn out fast BUT I'm not talking about pure water. Just a small amount and I'm thinking if I'm not having to drag as hard on it then I'm probably cancelling out this issue.
So the remaining issue is flavor, and 10% hasn't been enough to make the flavors change enough for me to worry about.
Any other issues I should be aware of? I know tap water is bad due to impurities, but I'm figuring distilled would be no issue.
I've noticed if I go over 20% PG or over 10% water in my juices that my Clearo gets VERY drippy, but below those seem to be a good mix for it. I haven't played yet with more customizable equipment. Something with a variable flow should be able to compensate for this issue some as well, no?
PS. I know pharma grade PG shouldn't be as much of a problem as food grade, but I prefer to just avoid it if I can.
