Well, I believe in both...both have their place... people should definitely be responsible. Govnt should be responsible with what they get voted to take on but problem is currently they've bit off much more than what they can be responsible for and they are influenced by groups left and right that have their own agenda... big trouble if you ask me. Sorry, not to get political... Just not liking the direction of either party right now...there is no balance- and we need balance.

Okay, back to the programming in progress...ERA's!!! Yeah, now that's more balanced, if you ask me- just wish the posts in it were further apart.

I just ordered a couple of these drip tips, looks like a pretty good match for the ERA:

I picked up one of these steel drip tips and also a plastic black-with-white-swirl in the same design. These have funny white orings and seem to fit very loosely in both my ERAs. I even tried changing out the oring to a standard drip tip oring I got from madvapes and it was even worse. I managed to find a slightly fatter oring on another drip tip that worked, but I've decided I don't like the feel of the steel one, so I'm using the black plastic one on my black Grand and it looks awesome!! Overall, perfect shape for the ERA, but might need different orings to fit well. Just my :2c:!

i found a perfect match for me at 1.6 ohm, using the ERA on my yet unkicked Reo Grand (oh yes oh yes, comes 1 ERA, 2 Kick will follow up ;) ).

first i tried to make a coil out of 0.15 kanthal (= thinner = more resistance = less wraps = less gunk - these were my considerations), but i wasn't able to pull the thin wire through the holes on the contacts. inserting it on one side is one thing, finding the way out on the other side is an other thing. the 0.15 kanthal just wrinkled to easiely because of it's softness.

so i ended up with a thicker wire (the one that came with the ERA) which must be something around 0.2 kanthal). wrapping it 4 times around 4 strings of silica (must be 1.5 - 2 mm silica) gave me 1.6 ohm. a very nice vape on the unkicked Reo Grand. i wrap without a help (paper clip or needle) and care not to cut the silica with the wire while wrapping. wrapping too tightly gives the whole coil a bad shape, the turns tend to become bigger and bigger because of silica jam. so i try not to strangulate the silica and i try to avoid, the silica loops turn with the wire while wrapping = stay +/- parallel. a dryburn after that (at low voltage) shows me if the coil is working = glowing regularly. if not, fixes with needle and by twisting and pulling sligthly on the silica. finally measure the ohm.

look forward for my Kick to try higher wattage, but so far this is a very pleasant experience. not sure about squonking now. normally a blind squonker, this method fails for me with the ERA. not using an adapter, i can't see the bottom of the drip well. the only method that works fine by now is TTS, quick and rough until a cloud comes out of the mouthpiece :).

sorry for the poor pic. maybe i gonna cut down the loop a bit, dunno yet.

Are those metal DT's? Where did you get them?
I'm not sure if I'd like metal- seems mine would get awfully hot the way I like to vape.

I got them from Clouds of Vapor (stainless). Hopefully I won't have the same fit problem that AmnNate experienced. I like the stainless tip that came on my Chalice, so I don't think heat will be a problem for me.

I have a black plastic drip tip with the same white o-ring and loose fit. I took the o-ring off, wrapped a strand of dental floss a few times around the groove on the drip tip and then reinstalled the o-ring. It fits snugly on my ERA now.

Funny. I came to the thread this morning and started over from the beginning. I was looking for pics of eras with drip tips to get an idea of what looks best on it. Not a lot of pics with drip tips....till the end of the thread. Since we are on that topic anyway, if you have a setup you think looks really good together, please post up a pic, thanks.

A question for the ERA/Chalice and Zen owners. How would you say the vape is from a Zen / BliSS style tank as compared to a atty. I love my Reo I just did a week without a atty as I ran out and eventually had to break down and buy a 510 ego for 12 bucks at a brick and mortar. But I have the BliSS on the way to the house. I love my Reo so much I couldn't get anywhere close to being satisfied from anything else I have......vape on

Of course I'm a right wing nut job.....I believe in personal responsibility, NOT government responsibility...:)

the Chalice and era hit totally different than the genesis style rba's(zen-zatty-orion-cobra-did-etc..). you're squonking fresh juice onto the wick, so it tends to have a cleaner more flavorful hit. with that said, the new wick material the Col. suggested is leaps and bounds better than any silica or mesh. i am in the works of removing all my mesh from all my genesis atty's now since the new wicks on my Chalice's and era taste so good. got one running in the cobra, and it's great also(now i have to do all my zens and orions).

i can't believe that some people are saying it is easier to build a wick and coil on the era(those stupid set screws are ridiculous). the chalice is way easier and i am getting more vapor production from them in a side by side comparison(same wick, same coil ohm and same juice on 2 different vv reo grands). i also thought the build quality would be better with the era. i guess you get what you pay for.

i may have a new era for sale if someone is looking for one. i like the chalice's better. people who are liking there era's better i'll gladly trade you a couple era's for one.
