We have a couple o-ring companies here in Jacksonville. If these don't work, looks like I'll be going downtown~ugh. I ordered those too MX. Here's to hoping I won't have to make that trip downtown or to Phillips Hwy.

ETA:
My measurements are guestimates-I had ½ od x ⅜ id x 1/32 - never could find anything yesterday while I was out and about looking.

3/8" is a 9.5mm, the issue is the cross section of the o-ring. Both of my o-ring grooves measure differently. Mine are closer to 9mm ID in the groove.
Finding a o-ring that size with a 1/32" cross section was more a pain than you might think. My main concern is the variance in tolerances between all the ERA's.

Will do, You can never have to many O-Rings IMO LOL :)

I hope to have my complete order in by Friday and will report back on every thing.

o-rings, WD40, duct tape, Aspirin, Benadryl, waxed dental floss (Tripp), poly coated wire, Swiss Army knife, sprouting seeds all packed into your sprouting jar, a little bit of imagination...........

{edit} forgot various sizes of real cork corks

I like Sammy's tilted wick to touch the bottom. I'm gonna have to try that. :)

Thanks Tripp :). I actually ended up flipping it up so that the coil end was closer to the atty floor, And the top of the mesh works as juice storage. when the coil dries the wick gravity and wicking action take over to get more down to the coil. It is a very nice vape, and never a dry hit if you squonk after about 6 hits. It even traps a drop of juice at the end of the mesh when between it and the negative post when the wick is soaked, and it drinks it up as it gets dry. I say 6 hits because I take some monster pulls on it :D

Any better Picts?

..........:)..........

Sorry Long Haul, that is the best I could do with my phone. It's pretty simple, just about a 1/4 inch of rolled SS 400 mesh, 4 wraps of Kanthal 32awg. I tilt the wick/coil upward at about a 45 degree angle and let the end of the mesh touch the floor of the atty.

Just thought I'd post for any interested. The next ERA group buy went live tonight. I'm helping my local brick & mortar do it up right. If you have any interest check out the Indy Vapor Shop thread here on the ECF. I hope I'm not offending. If this is inappropriate by all means take it down. Brew

Works great, just make sure you have oxidized your wick well, to avoid shorts.

I'm hoping somewhere here can help me before I bother Mel. One of my ERAs seem to be having a problem. I make a wick/coil, check its ohms, all is well. Put it in my ERA and try to vape -- nothing. It doesn't heat up. The ERA did work at first; now it doesn't.

I have 2 ERAs and am having no trouble with the other, so I don't think it's a user error.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Jay

I have noticed lots os people over tightening the ERA in their mods....which is really not hard to do as I think their 510 connection is a tad long. If it shorts on a mod with electronics....that will cause it to not fire. You can tap out the pos connecter to repair it....That is....if it's the problem. I use a dash 013 oring in the juice well of my REO's that restrict the ERA from being tightened down too much and still making the pos connection. On a mod like a Provari....I use a small oring on the connecter of the ERA and that serves the same purpose.....allowing you to snug it down with no risk of shorting. I hope this helps. Let me find the oring size I use on the connector.

Here's the other oring http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/6899/
