I took my 18490 woodvil and sanded down the top of the catch cup about 1/8 to 3/16, now my ERA fit's beautifull with no problems. Before sanding I could screw the ERA on but when I went to put the top part of the ERA on it, it wouldnt go down all the way, so if you sand it a little it allows it to go down all the way. Maybe this will work for all woodvils?

Thanks to Mamu's RAT mod and coil build, I am using XS-18 silica sleeve over my mesh for the ERA. I left the sleeve long on either side of the mesh in hopes of it holding excess juice from squonking. Been using for a day and it is working quite nicely. Time will tell.

I clicked on that vendor link. Next to the XS-18, what will I get with an order quantity of "1"?

Mods are like beautiful women... if God intended for us to be with just one He wouldn't have made so many of them.

(Of course mods do tend to be a whole lot cheaper.)

No one said anything about only 1:laugh: I'm just partial to Reos many Reos:lol:
I think kanthal wire and SS mesh wicks are going to be my regular builds. They vape so nice and when the coils gunk up, I can dry burn them clean easily enough.

Damn now I'm gonna have to try this:facepalm:

I'm using XC4 in my ERA's and its been working fabulous, 5 coils of 30AWG, stick a pin in the sleeve and wrap your coils around taught,,then cut both ends with just 1/16 hanging over each side of your last coil then install your coil. Nothing comes apart this way and it all stays together really nice. I happen to have a couple of rolls of the XC4 & XC-116 from way back in 2009-10 when I found this stuff and we use to use it in the original GG iAtty. I find the flavor better then using silica and it doesn't break down with the heat rating specs it has :) you can take the torch to it first to burn off any small particles that may be on it from the manufacturing process if you want. The flavor is definitely better with no burnt taste that you get at times with using regular Silica, your also going to notice that the XC4 & XC-116 does not get that burnt mark on it or burn like the Silica does, and won't gunk as fast as the Silica so the flavor is more pronounced over Regular Silica. At least this is what I'm finding since using it in my ERA
