Does anyone have 22mm and 20,7mm versions can test if parts can be interchanged?

I have 22mm version, but as I see there is no glass or even plastic tanks on sale...

I have both sizes, and i got glass for the 22mm but it fits both.It sticks out on the edges of the smaller one,but it doesn't leak or anything. As for glass,i dont know what shipping would be to your country, but there is a company called ibtanked that sells the 22mm glass for $5 plus shipping.

did You ordered custom cut tube from them or regular Erlkonigin? (for 22mm clone)

what about mini version chimney? will it fit on 22mm?

Hey sorry I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere in this thread but how far should I cut the wick ends? I'm having some trouble with dry-ish hits in my build. I've never been really good at this... I mean, I think my coils are pretty decent but my wicking job is always inconsistent. The first build I ever did on this was wonderful, and I pretty much just slapped it together sloppily. My next two builds were kinda ehh... I'm thinking maybe too much wick? Should the wick go inside and down the juice channels or just be on top of it? My first build, I had trimmed the ends very thin and had them down the channels, my next build, I had thicker wicks in the channels, and currently I have them just stuffed into the very top of the channels. I'm not sure what to do to improve on this. I'll try to post a pic once I finish this tank of juice.

When I first started building the Erlkonigin, I was using a few strands down the vertical channels. Like you, I always seemed to get dry hits and slow wicking. I like an airy draw so I have installed the optional 2mm posi pole holder and removed the afc. Because of this (lack of suction in the chamber) my wicks had trouble keeping up. This is with 70-80 vg juice. 50p/50v wicks a lot easier. I now build all of my Erls as shown in the images below. Snipped parallel to the vertical channels, puffy shoulders and no wick down the vertical channels. Lastly, I don't use the "wick ring".

When I got my first Erl I noticed something about the afc that no one talks about much. No matter how far you open it up, when you put it on your mod and start tightening it down, as soon as the afc touches your mod, it stays stationary while the atty is tightened down the rest of the way. Because of this, the afc was being tightened. I had determined that no matter how much you open the afc it is always 1 1/4 turns from fully closed after putting it back on your mod.

Easy enough for me to avoid though as I just remove the afc's completely anyway because I like an airy draw.

I forgot to mention that I run without the AFC ring also.

I'll vouch for the wicking method you use. I rebuilt mine again last night like that and it works really well. The difference between my last wick and this one is just trimming it tighter to the channels. Works like a dream.

I just made it under the wire and ordered 2nd on Jan. 28 (and yes, it did ship). The FT mini is popular and they do have a product request form, so maybe...

If not, you can still currently order the "Replacement Chimney and Tank for Mini EK RTA" and convert a full-sized erl.

Yep. I managed to order 2 of the complete minis while they were available and I currently have a chimney on it's way.

No,i didn't order custom cut,if you search erlkonigin on their site, they have them specific for it,they carry the standard 22mm and the nano, but i dont have a nano version so not sure about those.

Ok so I tried cutting my wicks shorter and fluffing the ends out... still getting weird hits. It feels kinda... cloggy or something. Slightly burny tasting hits. Maybe I'm using too much wick? I usually have a piece in there thats snug but loose enough to be slid around without it tugging. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Cotton or rayon? With cotton wicks you have to be careful not to overstuff your coils as expansion can choke juice flow when wet. Rayon does not expand so you want to completely fill coil with wick. With rayon, I have best results trimming wicks at an angle (as sketched below) with only 1-2mm of the wick's bottom into juice channels when wet. Make sure the wick is cut to fit within the chimney threads so it does not catch/dislocate when chimney is installed. Not sure who posted this approach, but works great.

[_]

Key:
coil with wick - "="
where to cut new wick - "/" and "\"
"elevated" juice channel - "(" and ")"
"threaded" juice channel - "[" and "]"

Yeah, when I first started with the Erl, I was having a helluva time with wicking when I used anything down the channels. I'm talking just a couple of strands so I decided to try it the way I used to wick my SQr when I owned that (traded it for an Erl...lol) and it seemed to work quite well for me.
