They do look a tad small to me, yeah. It's definitely worth a shot. I know that vapdivrr once did a build on his authentic where he inserted a tiny bit of wicking material under the shoulders. You could give that a try without rebuilding and see if it cures your leaking issue.
I only remembered because I thought about buying a clone to use the top cap mechanism which has the lock (the erlprinz hasn't) but after reading about those not so perfect fits and wandering o-rings, I rather don't waste my money. The erlprinz top tightens down perfectly allowing vacuum to build up

The Erlprinz is going to be made by the erlkönigin team going forward - Due to all the quality control issues. I'm thinking this will make it a pretty snazzy little atty!~!

Definitely try slightly "fuller" shoulders. Although from your pics I can't tell if the shoulders are slim, or just pushed down more due to a lower sitting coil.
Oh, and experiment with less down the juice channel. It's ridiculous how little (and sometimes even none) wick you need down them. lol

As jax said, I also think the shoulders are too low. After some experimentation, I came to the conclusion that the height of the shoulders should be around 2-3mm when measured from the highest point of the channel curve. No leaks here whatsoever.

I guess I'm lucky then. Mine is hasn't any of the issues stated but if the rumours are true, I might pick up another one when I2R starts producing it themselves

Well, well some good news, my clone has been leak free and survived the ride home from work. I think she is a winner!
Building this RBA and getting working was so rewarding, it just works and looks great. I see why everyone loves this thing.
I can't wait to get the Erlprinz now!!!

You can try what worked for me to get the shoulders right - I used my fingers to pinch it (both at the same time) and it created the perfect upside-down "V" shape taper for shoulders, it really works!!!
The pinching fluffs the shoulders and shapes them at the same time, its a win, win thing.
Try it now!

I have the silver boxed clone from Fasttech. I am definitely impressed and happy with it. I still need to experiment with the wicks though.
I got the same one as you KTM - Try the pinching technique I patented above

Interesting. I wonder if someone got the last versions that appeared recently (17-18 bucks) with colored tanks (but also have the clear version). Seems somehow the finish is different although the pics are deceiving.

That's almost exactly how I wicked current build. No leaks but some condensation on the afc this morning and felt "wet" when vaping, not quite gurgling.

Naa a nice person from ECF sent me like 10 feet to try out a few months ago and when she saw I was looking for a local source, sent me like 50 feet more I'm covered for the next two years now. By that time I'm pretty sure there will be a new wick material out there or even a wickless feed system.
I usually let my erlp on its side during the night and the next day, the first two or three draws feel quite powerful but not close to wet or gurgling... Next time make the same build and put just an itzy tiny more fibers in the channels and you should be ok.
I believe it's a balance between the shoulder height and the amount of fibers in the channels.
If you put insane amounts of wick in the shoulders you don't need fibers in the channels and the same goes the other way around... Balance is the key

I just rewicked my Erl clone for the second time and its a lot better than the first try as I was getting some dry/burnt hits. I left the shoulders nice and thick and kept trimming the tails until there was a tiny bit running to the bottom of the channels. The more I vape on this thing the more I like it better than my Ehpro KF, so much so that Im thinking of ordering two from Focalecig.
Has anyone tried out the one listed on FC yet, just wondering if it is pretty much the same as the silver box one I got from Fasttech?

I just re-wicked too but the 3rd time. The 2nd wick was still good and the coil was pretty clean after 2 tanks. Getting the wick out almost destroyed the coil though. I noticed the coil was sitting a low so I raised it a bit. It's better but still feel like it's slightly wet but clearing out, I think. I felt like a barber trimming the wick

The silver box seems to be worth it for sure, we all know if wicked right it will work. I had to unscrew the 510 pin a little and re-tighten then readings on my ohm meter evened out... Not many issues at all, unlike the SR

Do the glass tanks from ibtanked fit the clones? ibtanked says 22mm external diameter, I thought it should be 21?
and is ibtanked the only place for the glass tanks? its the only one I remember reading in the authentic erl thread...which I stopped reading a while ago, I got too far behind and gave up trying to play catch up
