on the GG ecf forum, these kind of thanks are spontaneous, unsollicited and given for free, without expecting nothing in return.

on the Caravela forum, its a different story ;)

The same feeling reading here the maker explaining, justifiyng day after day, always first to enter the debate about technical choices, listening to the options, patient with some, sometimes putting in production the sharp idea of a few maniacs,..
Another GG achievment, building step by step a very nice story, from my point of view, and giving its real price for the entire line of devices, its true 'exclusivity' (or the real meaning of the 'to my good friend' engraving) Time will tell, but here we all yet know ;)

Lack of lip service, sugar coating, or plain old mob mentality. That's what make GG forum great. A group of sophisticated and "critical" enthusiasts speaking their mind without worrying about getting "ganged" up. Giving credits where/when it is deserved and calling out faults in constructive manner. Of course, this is only possible by Imeo recognizing and supporting long time royal fans but not playing favoritism. Staying professional and, most importantly, continuing to deliver great and true innovations.

I try to provide honest opinions and speak whatever is on my mind regardless of forum location. But, as you pointed out, GG forum is very few places where I feel comfortable doing that. I really like how you used the word "GG achievement". I am only starting to get a sense of what that means as I am still new to the community. But I can imagine the magnitude of its meaning for long timer followers. Cheers to everyone.

question for you Imeo.
The tendency in mod business seems to be 26650 batteries mod factor: huge, not pocket friendly, but with increased capacity and performnces: they're better/safer.
Beside 26650, batteries makers also greatly improved performances and capacity of 18650. Sadly, smaller batteries are not taking advantage of those upgraded performances, and the red IMR AW is still the way to go after all those years.

Yet, you've decided to release 16500 and 18500 mods !! What makes you that optimistic? How would you convince the subohm geek that those mods are better than a 26650 mod to run a 0.2 resistance?

Vaping community has grown large enough where there are different groups of people seeking different vaping experience. GG mods are for (dare i say) "normal" vaping experience. Aim is to deliver optimal vapor with easy user experience. For those who like to run "hotter", there are other mods and atty more suitable for that. If I feel like running hot, I use my Ramble or other mods with lower voltage drop and build dual coil on Origen, Stillare or other hard hitting RDAs. I am not saying GG isn't capable of running sub ohm, but I just don't see that as the primary usage case. Hence, while it certainly is possible to build the 26650 tube, I don't think it "fits" the GG design. Imeo is trying to streamline and optimize the overall design so that it runs more efficiently. So, releasing slimmer mod like Proteus actually makes more sense for GG. Also, 18500/18650 sizing of Esterigon is a logical choice as well.

The 18500 size is my favorite one, on a strict ergonomic point of view (i too find the jGG nicer in this size, while i prefer the GGTS in 18650, the Stealth staying the Stealth)

I'm unsure the esterigon dedicated to the corean teen facing a webcam a lingot of brass in hands, surrounded by massive clouds of vapor at home late at night, there is room for everyone and nobody here has only one mod for all the moments of a day. The fact is i regard batteries as the less creative part of the parameters in the seek of reproducing the perfect vape: i do believe in 18650 mnke, sony4, orbtronics (thanks to Bishop anyway) as a blank page, the fundation you start from, but the keys are, from my opinion, in size of coil and coverage of wick, juice feeding, inner pressure, cooling effect of the mouthpiece and air control. The question is not '26' sized batteries, but when regulated electronics will be mature enough to simply don't think so much about batteries, wich actualy keep a too big and useless importance in the chain.

I often use 18500 during the day, while walking or at work, as a urban-vaper the parameters are first discretion and leakingproofness, i still wait for better atos than the GG ones in the other hands, i don't feel like accepting compromise on perf when my ithaka is driven by a 18500 batteries ;)

easy answer mon:)

if I make a GG with a car battery would it be ok? lol

The fatter battery doesnt mean anything to me. We will earn vaping time when vaping time is already huge with 18650.
We have other very serious vaping problems to solve with electronics than trying to avoid changing batteries (that takes 15 sec to be done) or try to increase vaping time by keeping in our hands hookahs.

Also bigger mods fit electronics easier and modders try to drive people that way, only for their convenience. On the other hand, I look at your convenience and not mine
