EVOD the way it should be!

After being under-impressed with all my EVOD coils I decided to try 28 gauge ‘micro’ coil (9 wraps) 1.4 ohms using cotton wick. I must say it is absolutely incredible vape! I can’t see using anything else now in my EVODS.





Anyone else using similar setup with their EVODs?

Ya ... a few strands of flavor wick! For me the cotton makes all the difference for my juice of choice!
So impressed by this setup!

I have 32 gage wire. Isn't that smaller than 28? Or no?

I've been using 32 kanthal for my microcoils, just got some 30 kanthal which I can't wait to try.

28 guage is significantly thicker than 32 gauge wire.
I just used kitchen twine I picked up from CT and boiled for a half hour or so.

Lol I always thought the higher the gauge thicker it was. I learn something new every day.

28 gauge is a completely different animal even that 30 gauge wire imho.
The secret to the micro coil is that all wraps of the coil must touch. Of course with 28 gauge in the EVOD you have no choice as there just isn't enough real estate for space between wraps.

Is it possible/safe to use cotton to make a 2-2.4 ohms coils? I think I'm ready to take the leap soon.

It's easy to make a microcoil with the 1/16 drill bit as a guide.

I use a 2.4ohm microcoil in my evod with a cotton wick and it's fantastic. No leaks no gurgles, awesome flavor and vapor.

About 10 wraps of 30awg

Technically I believe a microcoil is defined by a 1/16" diameter as josho ... I used a 2mm diameter.

I use a 14ga needle for the guide. Which is 1/16" works great.

The vapor is off the charts.

I haven't tried sub ohms and never will. People say the microcoils are a similar similar experience but safer.

OK so once you wrap this micro coil and remove your drill bit or whatever... how do you get your wick in??
