I'm familiar with escribe and the process of loading csv / making them having owned dna200 mods. But you mentioned dna75 software. Did you mean mod firmware or is there a specific version of escribe that's separate from the dna200 Windows software ? When I was using escribe right after release the goal seemed to be it was a universal software to be used with all future evolv chips. My questions about wire profiles were just because j hadn't used Clapton wire back then and wasn't sure how one did a mixed wire. Thanks though. Many helpful links. I hadn't checked the data sheet yet. I also need too find some screens I like.

Aside from lower power is the 75 watt chip crippled in any way compared to the 200 ? I see the integrated 1a charger vs the separate charge board of the 200 (iirc). I'm surprised they're still not using a 2 amp capable charge universally . Especially with the integrated batteries used in so many current evolv mods

Edit - turns out lightening vapes has a csv for some of their Clapton wire and used with dna mods 28/36 stainless / kanthal is one of them. For stainless stainless my guess is a standard stainless profile would Work fine. Benefit of the stainless wrapped in kanthal is the ease of making contact coils without hot spots.

The dna75 version of Escribe I linked before must be downloaded as it contains a special driver package to communicate with the DNA75.

The software itself is the same but the drivers aren't in the 200 version

I love the tweaking Daniel did on the SMY 75! I have the sdna 75 and a think vape box75 and would love to have the same setup as the smy on my box75 :) this thread is very helpful but, I don't think i'm there yet haha. I used to be quite techy but, I must be getting old ;)

What's different / missing from the smy that you want to change ?

Save the config from your SMY in escribe. Plug in the SDNA75 and load the SMY saved file and load to the SDNA75 mod.
I'd be careful about that as the mod resistance and thermals would be copied into the ThinkVape Box75. I would rather type the information into the profiles manually if it was me.

You can save the profiles and the theme separately then open them with the target mode connected, but that is 9 files. I put a feature request to be able to save everything except the mod tab in EScribe, but it didn't get much support. Even if you could save the mod tab to restore those values after importing all the others it would be quicker than profiles etc. You can save the battery profile separately and should always do so if you run battery analyser, but this is not nearly as important on the 75 as the 200 and even then not that important.

I did it manually, opened my DNA200 in a side by side screen, so I could see and copy. The DNA75 had LED settings as well, so I thought it best to take the time and do it right. Now whenever I get the delivery on my last two SMY's, it will be an easy upload.

Why don't you post the files on google drive for others to try and see if they prefer. Can you specify the differences in a changes file that accompanies it ?

Besides the thermals, its all custom, user preferences, like the screen images etc. I like 3 clicks to ON, you may like 4, etc. besides everyone should take the time to learn the software. I'm not doing anything special or exotic. One of the main bonuses of buying a mod with a DNA chip, is the customization. And to be honestly embarrassed, I still have not taken the time to learn the various preheat settings and timings. I saved Danials original settings so I could go back someday to try and learn why he did what he did.

Well... can't blame ya.

I still haven't taken the time to lay out what profiles would cover my general build habits.

I appreciate what Daniel did, now I need to fine tune it; lose the DNA40 preset; then "stretch" the range to use on the 133s.

And are his pre-heats reversed on the Soft and Soft Minus? Simple mistake if true.

I ordered the SMY SDNA75 in wood finish.

Im only going to be using it in power mode…8-15 watts…on stock and built kanthal single coils.

And I don't have a Windows computer…so I guess I can't download any escribe software and adjust any settings.

I had hoped to look at the settings that affect vaping in wattage mode…

If Im using it in just plain vanilla mode, is this a problem?

If it is, I'll have to try and hit up a friend with a Windows laptop.

You'd want software updates for fixes I'd think. If you have a Mac why don't you download virtual box for free and install Windows or dual boot to Windows xp on a ten gig partition. Stick
With Xp and virtualization works very very fast. Not sure if escribe supports it. But. Dual boot
Is another option.

Can you repost the link to the correct version of escribe to use for the DNA 75?
