So the DNA 75 chip and the compatibility with DNA 200 boxes and mounts has led me to start making a custom box. Has anyone actually tried a parallel build yet?
Yes some are talking about gutting a Reuleaux RX200 and running three 18650 in parallel. I would think you could vape 25 to 30 mills easy per charge.

If I was going to use more than one battery I would use a DNA200 chip. I can't see any possible benefit to using the DNA75 for more than a single battery mod. The DNA200 chip is more efficient (longer runtime). It gives you more flexibility with power (you can turn the 200 down but can't turn the 75 up past 75). No matter how you wire the batteries (series or parallel), the watt hours available are the same. I see no advantage whatsoever.

Cheers,
Steve

No, the watt hours increases when adding more and more batteries. It doesn't matter if in parallel, series, or a combination of both.
Wings is correct, I think you just restated what he wrote.

IMO 3 cells defo a 200, 2 either, but probably a 200, 1 cell defo a 75, unless of course saving the $30 in board price is an important factor then the 75 wins.

I'm not sure what the no is about. I said it doesn't matter which way the batteries are wired, the watt hours would be the same (Example 2 in series or parallel would be the same). I obviously wasn't saying the watt hours would be the same no matter how many batteries were being used (I didn't think I had to say 3 would be more than 2 - I assumed that would be obvious).

No, Steve was saying he sees no benefit running a DNA75 on more than one battery. Sure there are benefits running a DNA75 on more than one battery.

Efficiency? Evolv's claim is that the DNA200 is 97%, but that is nominal. Run a DNA200 at 10 watts and the battery is drawing 14 watts. That isn't 97%, that is more like 71%. I bet that 97% figure is from running at 200 watts.

And before anybody says that sucks! Get this. I can vape twice as much juice with a Reuleaux DNA200 then I can with a Reuleaux RX200 with the same batteries.

I was saying I see no benefits in using a DNA75 over a DNA200 chip if it was going to be run with more than 1 battery. The main benefit I see with the DNA75 would be a smaller mod but that would only apply if it was using a single battery.

Miss my small "stealthy" devices but now I can hopefully build one with the 75 and parallel flat li-po's or maybe round li-po's.... when ya vape at 20-ish to 30-ish watts @ 430-ish F. battery live isn't a critical factor for me...

Haven't had my modding hat on in a while.....

Would you have to wire two lipos together or can you buy a pack that's setup in parallel?

I've not seen any off-the-shelf 2 cell parallel 3.7 volt li-po's but if they are out there I'd be interested in a link to them.... I just am planning mating two single cells in parallel.

THX for the links.... I'm looking for 2 cell parallel 3.7 volt li-po with around 30 C continuous and about 2000 mah. Big or hard case batteries won't let me do a small mod but would work for a larger mod.

Will search a bit more when I start to plan the mod.... may just end up with 2 cells married in parallel.

THX again for the links.... :thumb:

Yeah but avoiding soldering those tabs together by buying a pre-made has a certain merit to it. It is not work easy enough for everyone

TRUE..... I was thinking of 2 single batteries that come with wired connectors thus no soldering to the tabs is necessary. Soldering could be easily done to the wires.
