What does a blinking battery bar after taking a vape indicate? It says 49% remaining and this is the first time I have seen the bar blink. I normally swap out and recharge in the 30 - 40% range.
A blinking battery bar indicates a weak battery. The earlier firmware would flash "Weak Battery" on the screen, the later firmware flashes the battery bar. What preheat, battery ,cell soft cutoff, ect are you using?

no idea, no idea, no idea

threw that battery on the charger and switched to my no nic devices for the night.

I was using a low ohm (0.2) griffin on it at the time and watts on the device in tc mode was 55 watts. looks like a sony vtc4. how do I check the soft cell cutoff?
Hook your mod up to Escribe and look in the mod tab (battery section)

Thanks guys. Think I got that sorted. I set it to 3.3v for both my devices based on some google searches and will see how it goes.
That is under load, seems quite high, you can always change it. 2.75 volts would be as low as I would go.

2.75 is what it was set to when it was flashing at 50%. What would you recommend between those two values?
2.75 v
What mod, what battery?
It sounds like either your battery isn't up to it or the battery sled is not getting a good connection to the battery.

2.7 is way too low. That's silly. 2.7 is bone dry battery by that point most batteries struggle to hit any decent vaping wattage.

3.1 (well 3.09) has been the what most people set the cutoff to. But what's more important to battery display is what the curve is set to.

Not on the DNA75 it isn't. That was the cutoff for the DNA200's using a Lipo.

Since the DNA75 is a single battery mod, you will get more sag under load. If you set it that high you will get the low battery warning to quick. Manufacturers test 18650's down to 2.5v so there is absolutely nothing wrong with setting the cutoff to 2.75v. As a matter of fact, that's what it comes at directly from Evolv!

Thanks guys. That battery is back in rotation and I am not sure which one it was as I didn't check the markings I put on it but I might be able to figure it out, or at least which one of 2 it is as they go in 2 pack cases to the bottom of the pile. I have 10 of them from earlier this year. I bought 18 new batteries recently for married sets of 3 in my triple batt mods but 15 of those are already married so I only have 3 newer batteries I could use. I will be ordering more batteries later this year after I pick up some dual bat mods and will probably just dedicate 4 of those to these 2 smy mods.

Where do I find these curves to download/install for each battery type? I have a few different makes of batteries but I could pick out 4 of one make and use those just in these 2 mods, or order 4 on my next battery order that I dedicate to these 2 mods.

it actually went into a 2 pack by itself at the bottom of the rotation so it was easy to find.

Nothing wrong with it unless you can't vape any more because of the sag. No reason to set everything to the lowest possible setting and not be able to vape it. We had a guy here want to send his SMY back because he couldn't get his vape at 100%. Well anyone vaping at 30-50w is isn't going to be able to vape it at 50% if you set everything to the min.

Not only that but the actual stored power in 3.0 down to 2.7 or 2.5 is so marginal it's not even worth worrying about.

I have a Lavabox M DNA75. I use Samsung 25R's in it. I have my cutoff set to 2.75v and can drain it until the battery bar is empty without getting the flashing bar.

Since the mod you have is a single cell mod, you want to use at least a 20 amp CDR 18650. I have LG HG2's, Samsung 30Q's and 25R's. Out of those I picked the 25R because I believe it can supply a little more than 20 amps without heating up. Samsung has been known to be conservative in their battery ratings.

Here's a link where you can download CSV files for some of the most popular 18650's:
Kurven für Akku | DNA200 German Crew

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Steve

Battery curves seem nice if you use a single brand/type, but I switch around a lot, and would not want to hook up to Escribe every time I changed a battery, so I leave the battery presets as they come from Evole software, and luckily have not had any issues with my builds.
