I always had problems like that with 316L. Good performance at first then, after a little while, anemic output and having to raise the temperature significantly to get a decent
vape. That's why I've switched to Ti and SS430. They stay consistent.
On a brighter note, my Aegis came yesterday and I've been enjoying it! The first thing I did was update the firmware which is a very different process from Evlov chips. Atomizer off, battery out, fire button held down and then plugged into the PC. It went smoothly and took less than a minute though.
I've checked it out, comparing its' performance to Evolv chips, with Ni, Ti and SS430 and the same settings on the Aegis that I use on the Evolv chips produce very similar results. I should order a new meter and some thermocouples and do some "kitchen sink" testing to see with some more certainty.
The
mod, itself, feels very solid and the fit/finish is very good as well. The leather accent piece looks kind of nice. I got a silicon sleeve for it to protect it when I use it, as intended, while working outside. Getting that sleeve on is a bit of a struggle, but once it's on it fits very nicely and doesn't interfere, at all, with the operation of the buttons.
I'm using it with an 18650, LG HG2, and the supplied adapter at the moment. So far battery life seems on a par with my other
mods. I just ordered a couple of 20700s, Sanyo NCR-B, even though I hate adding another battery style to my "stable". I thought 18650 would be the only one needed once the 18350s died off back in the Vamo days.
Overall, I'm happy with it and will probably order another one, or two, if it works out. If Mrs. Awsum likes it, I'll lend it to her for a couple of days later this week, I'll get her a couple as well. The biggest problem is getting used to a totally different menu system.
