Sitting down, facing forward.
Willie, another thought with your network questions...have you done an IP lookup to see what those addresses come back to? I know IP addresses can be spoofed, but if they're legit for the services you have running it's probably not problem. I routinely have "visitors" trying to get into my Blue Iris server and have had them from China, Japan, San Francisco, Romania, Germany and Seychelles. None have gotten into anything and the one from China may actually be one of the camera manufacturers, but at least I know where they're coming from.

My 3D printed squonk box arrived from Dan (AnalogBoxMods) with DNA75C cutouts instead of DNA75. A quick email and he's printing me another.

More waiting, but it's all good!

Here's your chance to get Free shipping on the screen you need :)
I was checking out his site yesterday, Good price on the 3D printed BF'er! + 20700 capable

I have inquired. ;)

Yes, I picked up the 20700 version, it has a truck bed liner type of finish. Integrated board mount, magnets, contacts and buttons are all included.

You know I used some of that spray can bed liner this spring on a haul cart I tow with my John Deere, you can get a smoother finish with the spray can then what you see professionally done on a truck and I wondered how that would be on mod.

This looks to be printed that way, but I would think the liner spray would hold up quite nicely. The guys were using Plasti Dip in the VT133 thread over at the other place to change the battery door texture.

It comes with a copper piece that looks it goes on the 510 as there is a cutout for it in the top. A pair of battery contacts that don't seem to attach to anything. A piece of double sided sticky rubber tape that is quite thick. A bottle backstop and battery tray that will need to be attached with epoxy.

There are no tracks or groves to seat the battery terminals into. I think you solder one battery terminal to the copper plate and use the rubber tape to attach the other terminal to the case bottom. The iJoy 20700 looks like it would fit properly with both battery terminal in place.

The squonk hole might also need to be enlarged a little for me but that's minor.

There is a guy over in the Bonkers thread at the other place who had one assembled for him by Dan. I am going to ask if he will take a picture of the inside of his with no battery installed.

Sorry for the poor quality web cam picture.

There's a YT video on Dans site, but it's not a BF'er. It's a 3D printed 75c with a 20700.
He CA glues the battery contacts, & uses the double sided tape between the board & the screen.
It's a good idea, I use a piece of foam between the board & screen all the time :)
I noticed the small squonk hole :(
I'm still on the fence :( I like the 20700, but I have several DNA powered BF'ers.

Just watching that now.

This will be my third DNA and I only picked the case up since I already had a Varitube BF 510 sitting around and the VT75 was gathering dust. I have a bouncy switch on my iPWM mod, so there were a couple of switches in that order too.

After watching his video on the 3D printed enclosure, it actually is bed liner that he puts on the print.

Ya sure looks like it :)
Unless you have a very expensive 3D printer, the prints aren't the best looking.
The bed liner would hide all that real nice & give a tuff coat :)
He is quite the resourceful guy, he does all his own anodizing & power coating :)
He has quite a few YT videos :) I like watching them :)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

thanksgiving-norman-rockwell.jpg

You could pull a photo just like that from my memories, those were wonderful days I was blessed with and treasure. Now it's my turn to make sure my grand kid's will have the same memories one day. Enjoy the day with those you love, and as Grandma would say; Count your blessings! :)

(Grandma would also tell me, no touching the food until after we say prayer, sit up straight, elbows off the table, no talking with your mouth full, say please and thank you.) ;)
