Got the Dreaded "Warranty Service", on my DX200
My Big Kay-Fun leaked out & soaked the internals :(
I'm pretty impressed with the Construction of the DX, We got for a Song on sale way back.
The Soldering is good! The wire Gauge is correct, Even the 510 isn't that bad!
Kudos to HotCig :thumb: Not Bad for a China mod!

I have a spare 200 :) Will get around to fixing it soon enough :)

I agree, the DX is built right. I really need to get a replacement screen for mine, they're cheap enough but I guess the small lipo is the reason I haven't fixed it. By the time I realized there were dual 18650 batt cases available they became unobtainium.

Should be .45 ohms according to another dna mod? A previous identical build? Steamengine? An ohms checker? A dmm? Of all the above I would lean towards trusting the mod if it's been calibrated with a shorting adaptor.
It's a clapton, so the resistance gets thrown a bit off, but what I want to know is how to translate that tcr into one that works for .45 instead of the reading .41 bc it's just not vapeable at .41

not sure but I'd raise the temp and wattage a bit instead.

Those DNA boards are coated (aka waterproof/juice-proof), so I bet it is just fine. Only the switches, solder pads and the USB isn't coated. It probably just needs a good soaking.

Have you tried locking the ohms in at .45 in escribe? Check the "Ohms Locked" box first then the spot to enter the ohms pops up.

Soaking? in What?
It appears Ok, If just connected to E-Scribe. But "Warranty Service" when connected to battery.

So what your saying, makes a lot of sense. My solder pads for the battery + & - got soaked in juice, & this seems to be were my problem is.

I've ripped 2 apart, right down to dismantling the buttons. Put board and 510 in a ziploc with ISO, then ziploc into the ultrasonic filled with water. I'm still using them today. Cleaned the screen and the rubber actuator under the top metal housing by hand.

I will try that. Did you remove the JST?
How long in the ultra sonic?

Nope to the JST, just the button rubber removed, even left the spring loaded + battery cup/connector on. My ultrasonic turns at a default 30 minutes, so I just left it there. One run.

Oh, removed the board, and threw in the shell for a second run

The reply I got from ecig.com.... :rules:

"Now the reason you were charged shipping is due to the fact you were not over or at the free shipping mark of $40 after you applied the discounts to your final total. You need to be over $40 after all discounts and codes are applied in order to receive free shipping."

I could not find this "qualifier" anywhere in the shipping statement and brought it to their attention. The latest reply is that they are working with a manager to help resolve this.
I missed the $40.00 mark by .20 so I was charged $11.60 shipping.

I'd tell them if they don't refund the shipping for missing the mark by .20 I'd be plastering it all over the forums and I'd never do business with them again. Didn't you send them a message to cancel the order right after placing it? If you did, they had time to cancel it before shipping, I'd cancel the transaction with your card company or bank, when the package comes don't open it, refuse it or if sent by the post office mark it "Return to sender" and send it back.

Hate to tell you this but I stumbled on these last night, $10 and free shipping. HotCig DX200 Battery

that is a usual and customary practice though - plenty of times i scrounged around on amazon because my total was a penny below what was needed ;)

$39.80 isn't $40.00, kind of unfair but thats how it goes :(
Many years back I had a 1999 Silverado, While it was under warranty the electric window motor on the drivers door malfunctioned & was fixed under warranty.
At 62,000 Kilometers 2K past the warranty the passenger window motor Broke!
Do you think that's fixed it under Warranty? Heck NO!
It was even a known issue! All ready fixed one side in my truck. I was 2K passed & it cost me $500.00 :(
