Not that anyone cares, but I decided to let it go without charging to see how my 3 month old Flask battery meter behaves, and to see how this set of HE2 batteries are holding up. 30 hours so far (minus 7 hours of sleep time) and the meter is just starting to drop, but showing "full" most of the time.

If nothing else, at least I'll have a record of it here for when I forget...which may be as early as next week

edit: both batteries checked 3.61volts

30 hours on two batteries? I go through a battery an hour - must check myself in to rehab I guess:ohmy:

GDeal GDNA Bottem Feeders, a GDNA40 3D printed and a couple of wood shell versions, I use FD classic 510 inserts with a custom drilled 6-32 screw.
I buy alot of parts at Hobby King, and they have about the best High Heat Silicon wire I've seen to date and you can buy it by the foot, and get it in colors. Shipping cost is a PITA though
Turnigy Pure-Silicone Wire 18AWG (1mtr) Red

THX..... bottom feeder.... just was looking at this on a facebook page........so fits the conversation....

Roughly 36hours now and the battery meter is working it's way down just like you'd expect it to do. Built a new Goblin for a friend and we played with it a lot to see what it was capable of, and my Flask did a bulk of the work. (we probably vaped 20ml in an hour, impressive tank, btw)

I don't remember my battery meter behaving this way, so I'm glad I decided to do this. It's almost at the halfway mark now.

BNEAT, 20 ml in an hour your lucky you remember anything. :D

PS - let us know at what point you get the low battery warning - please.

Haha, no it was straight VG we were Vaping (and it was probably closer to 10ml than it was to 20ml) the Goblin will flat chuck some vapor though. I stacked a couple of 350s and the .35 build (almost) kept up!!

About :30 after my last post it started giving me the low battery warning (meter appeared to be at 1/3) and maybe 5 minutes after that it stopped making satisfying vapor (gauge appeared to be about 1/3 still) I'll check the batteries tomorrow to see where they are.

So, no real surprise, other than I have quite a bit more time than I thought from when the gauge starts to move to when it makes the rapid downhill plung.

(Vaped at 30watts the last hour or so)

Stacked 18350s and .35ohm? Good lord man, that's crazy, wouldn't that be like 190w on a fresh charge? I hardly ever push my goblin up to 50w, generally around 35-40w, let alone 150w+. Sheesh.

Nah, these weren't fully charged, so it was somewhere around 150watts. I was surprised how well it did, especially considering the straight VG and the little 2.5mm coils. The most it would chain vape was 80ish watts, but with thinner juice, who knows. What impressed me was how good it tasted after we came back to reality and vaped it at 25watts with real juice and a tighter draw.

btw, I checked those HE2s that were in my Flask: one was at 3.34 volts, the other was 3.29 volts, which sounds OK to me. Maybe one of you battery gurus can chime in and confirm that the difference is acceptable.

for ref:

Seems the difference of only .05 volts shows the batteries are pretty well matched up. Curious what voltage they both show at full charge. Parallel batteries should be "married" when new and kept together, charged together, and etc.

Here is a great resource (just one section of Battery University): Battery Information Table of Contents, Basic to Advanced

Yeah, these have always been "a couple", LOL.

Funny, I have a couple of VTC5s that were not paired until recently but have had a fairly ballanced life, and they check closer than this paired set of HE2s. Although, I haven't run the VTC5s that low since I paired them.

I have two "married" 25Rs in my DNA 40 box right now, I'll post their charge level once I receive the low battery indicator for reference.

Not surprising. When they life-cycle test those batteries, they pull 'em all the way down to 2.5V.

Rossum, I am getting paranoid about making claims in topics that you are active in. :D That said I have read several batter Mfg's specs and some say don't go below 3.2 some say 3.5.

So out of an abundance of caution I try to not let mine go below 3.5 volts. What is your opinion?
