Can someone explain to me the battery meter on my evolv large screen devices. It's definitely not like any of my other mods meter's. It's a little jumpy. Different level of charge after I release the fire button.
It calculates how much battery life remains based on your last draw...or some stupid crap like that. The battery meter on the 40 is almost useless.

It only reads under load, so check it after you have vaped a regular hit, and not an aborted or feathered hit.

Lol. they over complicated a simple battery meter. Awesome.

AtmizrOpin,

The other guys are right but I thought I would throw my two cents in also.

If you are talking about after it comes out of "Deep Sleep" it may show 3/4 full or 1/2 full and after you take a vape it jumps to full charged that is what they all do.

And it does all the weird things that "g" and "BENEAT" said and for the reasons they said. Yes it is bizarre once it starts to stay off of "FULL" after you take a vape it will start behaving like you would expect and creep down as you use whatever battery is left. By the way when it says empty on the bar you will also start getting the Low Battery message. Once you start getting the message or the bar shows empty - it is really empty about 3.1 to 3.3 volts. If it will let you push a few more pulls don't that is really the lower limit for the 18650 Lion battery.

Received my 3rd replacement DNA 40D board in the mail yesterday. Third times the charm LOL. I prayed to the mod Gods that this board will stay flawlessly working as it has so far. She's in my black Waidea VF V3.

Saw something weird on my DNA 40 flask last night. Had my subtank mini on with a .12 at 480°F 23 watts, hit the fire button and noticed the temp went to 946° F, and in some cases over 1000° F. I could see the number 1 crammed along side the battery meter on those attempts. Weird huh? Temp protect would flash if I steady held the fire button until the temp got around to my set limit, which could take about a minute if it was one of the times it hit 1000° then start to fire again. I'm guessing there was a loose connection somewhere. Couldn't get it to do again after I switched tanks. Pretty neat and concerning at the same time.
