Hey Bobc where did you purchase your DNA40 big screen chip at? If you dont mind me askin. (I have a junk dna30 hana clone that needs one.)

I just recieved a replacement rDNA40 vapor shark a few days ago and it does not have the software update I must have missed it by a day or two. I was really hopin
for the update my last VS was glitchin like crazy, among other things.

Its very unfortunate these chips are NOT user updateable, especially when spending $200+ dollars on a device. I realize evolv just sells the chip but still.

I got 4 from the co-op too. 2 small screen and 2 large screen. The large screens have some minor updates from the small screens. The battery meter seems to work a bit better as it doesn't fall off a cliff like the small screen. It also has "Atty Lock" instead of power button lock. Useless feature if you know how to build a mod with a good ground and build good coils. It's a bandaid if you don't.

The large screen is easier on my old, aging eyes. I had a small screen on the mini but just swapped it out for a large screen. I found that the height of the display window on most Hana clones is tall enough for the large screen but you have to lengthen it to 25mm.

I just got two boards back from an RMA and one won't even turn on when I test it. The other turns on and fires ni200 flawlessly at 40 watts for 20 seconds. Any one have to rma just to get a completely dead board?

I probably have, but then again I have probably RMAd more than most. The DOA rate I am seeing is very low right now, perhaps 1%. How are you testing it?

3 of the 4 I got from the co-op work great with no issues at all. I haven't tested the 4th. The LED on one of the charging boards I got was constantly on with a battery connected.

Well, its being used to frame an argument that the KX chip is regulating better than a legit DNA40, so just interested if someone knows what the heck i'm actually looking at.

Advanced electronics knowledge is not my forte...LOL.

Not sure if it's better but they're similar and looks like they would perform the same in the real world.

Personally, I would (and did) go with the US made/engineered chip over a chinese clone.

Still happily vaping my v1, round 1, ECF coop DNA40, so no argument here.

Just interested in what exactly im looking at, and how it shows the KX doing anything "better" than the legit DNA40.

I do believe the Yihi temp control chips will be VERY nice, but im not buying that the low end cloners made a chip thats better at anything than Evolvs chip is. (aside from maybe not screen glitching...lol)
